Savannah Guthrie flees NYC after ‘Today’ show intruder incident

Savannah Guthrie is skipping town just one day after an intruder lunged at co-anchor Craig Melvin at the “Today” show offices earlier this week.
Guthrie and her husband, Michael Feldman, were photographed Friday preparing to leave the Big Apple at New York City’s LaGuardia Airport.
The anchor, 54, kept a low profile in a beige Celine bucket hat, jeans, sneakers and a black sweater for the outing. At one point, she was seen checking her phone, and in another snapshot, she took a sip from a water bottle.
Guthrie, whose elderly mother Nancy went missing in February, found the security breach the day prior “incredibly triggering,” the Daily Mail reports, despite the fact that it took place shortly after she left the building Thursday morning.
“The timing couldn’t have been more heartbreaking,” a source told the outlet Friday. “How much more can one person take?”
“After everything Savannah has endured with her family, this happened just moments after she walked off the set. It hit everyone hard, but it hit differently for her,” they added.
During the incident, the intruder — later identified as Andrew Truelove — stormed the building looking for Al Roker and instead found Melvin. He allegedly hurled a racial slur during the encounter, calling Melvin the N-word, and is now facing a slew of hate crime charges.
“This couldn’t have come at a worse time for her emotionally after everything she’s been through this year,” a second source told the Daily Mail of Guthrie. “Even though she had just left, just knowing it happened at her workplace is enough to shake anyone.”
Guthrie was preparing to step away for “a few weeks” to film the network’s upcoming Wordle game show, prior to the incident and announced her upcoming hiatus the same morning the intruder sent shockwaves through the “Today” studio.
“Everyone is relieved she’s taking the next few weeks off to film another project,” the source claimed to the outlet. “She’ll get some distance from all of this while everyone back here catches their breath.”
The insider added that “nobody would blame Savannah if she decided she needed more time.”
“She’s been carrying an enormous emotional burden, and this was another shock,” they continued. “The feeling inside the show is that everyone wants her to put herself first.”
Though the outlet reported security at the “Today” show had been “beefed up,” and the building was “tightening every loophole,” sources also told the Daily Mail that “Savannah’s personal protection has also been increased.”
One source told the outlet that, “The whole newsroom is protective of Savannah right now. People are worried less about the show and more about her. They just want her to be okay.”
Page Six exclusively reported Thursday that NBC News fired one of the security guards who allegedly allowed the crazed intruder to get into the “Today” show studios.
Melvin and Roker have also since been granted protective orders against Truelove.
A rep for Guthrie did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment on Friday evening.
The security incident came as the journalist has continued to navigate the disappearance of her 84-year-old mother, Nancy, who disappeared from her Arizona home following a family outing and was reported missing on Feb. 1.
Guthrie has made multiple social media pleas alongside her siblings, Camron and Annie, for information about the case — even offering a $1 million reward.
Though surveillance images from a camera at Nancy’s front door revealed terrifying images of a masked intruder, the case remains unsolved.
Guthrie returned to the “Today” show on April 6 after a hiatus.
“It is good to be home,” she told viewers at the time in her first episode back since her mother’s disappearance. “Ready or not, let’s do the news.”

Melissa Gorga calls this Anua cream her ‘home Botox secret’
No need to be in envy of Melissa Gorga’s skin care drawer.
The 47-year-old “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star took to Instagram last week to reveal her “holy grail home botox secret”: Anua PDRN Hyaluronic Acid 100 Moisturizing Cream, which is currently under $25 at Amazon’s Labor Day sale.
“They asked for my botox routine. I showed them this,” the star wrote in the sponsored clip, while applying small dots of the K-beauty formula to her face, neck and décolletage.

While it doesn’t involve any actual Botox or needles, the product contains PDRN — a buzzy ingredient derived from salmon sperm — hyaluronic acid and collagen. The combination is designed to boost radiance and provide long-lasting hydration.
Gorga shared some with her 21-year-old daughter Antonia, who posted her own TikTok with the brand earlier this summer.
“Look at this glowing glass skin, I learned this from my mom’s home Botox secret,” the eldest Gorga daughter said, revealing her mom already “stocked up on two more” bottles of the cream.
“You guys know my mom is super picky with skin care, so I knew this was the real deal,” she added. (Melissa also kept the praise coming in the cute clip, declaring the formula “literally a game-changer.”)

They’re not the only ones buying in bulk, as Amazon’s sold over 90,000 bottles (!) in the last month alone.
It’s been a big year for Anua, as the brand recently announced Kendall Jenner as its first-ever global brand ambassador. Now, it seems it’s making its way into another famous family’s routine.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s dog makes fashion debut alongside tight end in Tommy Hilfiger campaign

Tommy Hilfiger is for the dogs.
Travis Kelce stars in a new ad campaign for the American fashion brand — and so does his pooch.
The white Samoyed appears in a pic with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, both kicking their paws up on a striped lounger at The Plaza Hotel.
For his part, Kelce, 36, models a navy peacoat and white turtleneck in the pic, smizing for the camera as the fluffy pup sits on his leg.
In a video for the campaign, man and his best friend get cozy on the couch, with Kelce in a Hilfiger sweatshirt.
Rumors swirled that Kelce and wife Taylor Swift had become dog parents when images from their July 3 Madison Square Garden wedding were leaked, with one appearing to feature a white canine.
Shortly after, the “New Heights” podcast host was seen with the pampered dog disembarking from a plane in Florida.
The couple have yet to publicly address the new addition to their furry family — though it’s clearly entering the spotlight as a model. It’s not yet known whether the hound is a boy or a girl, nor what it’s named.
When not posing with the pooch, Kelce looks like top dog, strutting around the iconic locale in a varsity jacket, trench coat and more. He also holds a football in Central Park, modeling a casual-cool flannel and chore jacket. In behind-the-scenes pics, he’s joined by Swift BFF Gigi Hadid as well as Carmelo Anthony, Jisoo and more Hilfiger ambassadors.
Kelce himself was announced as the new face of the brand in March, a partnership that will last through his 2026-2027 football season, and was spotted shooting the spot in April.
He’s set to appear in “a series of campaigns shaped by relentless optimism, endless curiosity and a belief in dreaming big” this fall — with the new “Only In New York”-themed pics serving as the first — and will design his own capsule collection that “reimagines elevated Tommy icons” next spring, the company said at the time.
The new campaign was shot at the iconic NYC hotel, which Hilfiger once called home for more than a decade.
“I’ve always loved sharing the places that have inspired me, and The Plaza is certainly one of them. What was fun about this campaign was watching Travis make the experience completely his own,” the designer said in a press release.
“He brings incredible confidence, warmth and charisma, and seeing him experience New York through his own perspective brought fresh energy to the story.”
Hilfiger continued, “Travis represents a new generation of American icons. He has this amazing cross-
generational appeal that attracts people of all ages – from the kids who see him as an icon on the field, to older generations who find him relatable and charismatic.
People connect with him because he feels real. That confidence, optimism and authenticity reflect everything we’ve always stood for as a brand.”
And Kelce’s next Hilfiger event? The brand’s Sept 10. fashion show staged at The Plaza Hotel.
