• Glen Powell opened up to PEOPLE about his home in Austin during an exclusive interview about his new condiment line Smash Kitchen 
• The actor-producer says his home is designed to reflect a major passion of his — football — and being able to have watch parties anywhere in the house 
• Powell moved back to his home state of Texas in 2024 after living in Los Angeles for more than 15 years 

Glen Powell knew exactly what he wanted when designing the layout of his Austin home!

After moving back to his home state of Texas in 2024, the Anyone But You star, 36, made sure his new abode reflected a major passion of his, he tells PEOPLE during an exclusive interview about his new condiment line Smash Kitchen. 

“My house in Austin, pretty much every square foot is designed around how to maximize Texas football-watching parties and college football game days,” says Powell, who has been a longtime fan of the Texas Longhorns. 

“So I have a state-of-the-art barbecue system, so people are going to be eating very well and eating a lot of Smash this fall, when hopefully Texas wins a national championship,” he continues.

The actor-producer also opened up about how he’s feeling almost one year after his big move back home.

Before relocating, Powell had been living in Los Angeles for more than 15 years — but there was one major reason why he was called back to the Lone Star State.

“My life and career so far, it’s never felt right unless I’ve had my family along for the ride,” he told PEOPLE. “So I think the fun part for me is that I have my mom and dad there, both of my sisters and their families, and it’s just been really special being back around the family.”

Powell — who grew up in Austin and is working on finishing his college degree at the University of Texas at Austin — added that being back home “just feels comfortable and it feels right.”

He notes that it’s been especially meaningful for him to be by his family’s side for all their milestones  — from his younger sister Leslie Powell’s wedding in March to his older sister Lauren Powell, who is expecting her second set of twins.

Powell is also grateful that his family got to play a big role in the development of Smash Kitchen, which officially launched on April 2.  

“The fun part about even launching Smash is, with my family, they’ve been a part of the trial and error process of tasting different flavors and concepts and things like that, which has been really cool,” he says.

It was also his family (and his Texas roots!) that inspired him to develop the line alongside co-founders Sean Kane and Sameer Mehta.

Powell recalls how his grandmother “instilled this love of food in everybody” in the family while he was growing up in Austin, and it definitely contributed to his “desire to create” his own sauces and eventually his own condiment line. 

He explains, “The Powells love to eat, but we also love making our own sauces. We were always messing around and experimenting in the kitchen.”

Ralph Fiennes transformed into a Greek god (err, king) for his latest film.

The “Harry Potter” actor’s personal trainer, Dan Avasilcai, shared photos of his 62-year-old client working out shirtless in a gym to prepare for his role as Odysseus in 2024’s “The Return.”

Fiennes flexed his bulked-up biceps in the stunning snaps, which recently went viral after a fan account posted them on X.

“Voldemort should have just challenged Harry to an arm wrestling match,” one fan joked, referencing the Oscar nominee’s antagonist in the “Harry Potter” franchise.

“Harry Potter is F–KED,” another agreed.

Fiennes spoke about his strict diet and workout regimen in an interview with the Guardian last month while promoting “The Return,” which hit theaters in December.

The “Conclave” star said he combined weight training with running and ate a mix of proteins, complex carbohydrates and vegetables for five months.

“At the beginning, I have to confess, I was slightly suspicious that there was so much protein going in and so much exercise that we would have a body that looked exercised instead of a body that was consumed, a lived body. There is no gym in ancient Greece,” he told the outlet.

Fiennes explained that the drama’s director, Uberto Pasolini, had a specific vision for how he wanted Odysseus to look.

“Uberto was very clear. He didn’t want me to have a sort of bulked-up gym body,” he recalled. “He should look like a bit of old rope.”

The Tony winner acknowledged there was pressure to improve his physique because of his skimpy wardrobe for the film.

“I knew from the script that my body would be exposed,” he said on the British morning show “Lorraine” last week. “I [only wore] a blanket and a loincloth.”

Fiennes was first offered the role of Odysseus in 2011, but he waited until 2022 to accept it.

The “Menu” actor will face some competition during awards season next year, as Matt Damon also underwent a major physical transformation to play the same role in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film, “The Odyssey.”

Damon, 54, was spotted looking ripped on set alongside Zendaya, who plays Athena, in Italy last month.

The soccer star, 49, posted a carousel of family snaps to Instagram to mark the milestone on Thursday, April 17. The photos included romantic images from when the couple were first dating, family pics including their four children, and throwback snaps from the former Spice Girls’ childhood.

Happy Birthday to the most amazing Wife , Mummy & Best Friend that we could all wish for 🩷🩷 Have the most perfect day because you deserve to and we love you so much 🩷🩷,” he captioned the images, tagging his sons Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20 and daughter Harper, 13.

Their son Cruz added his own tribute in the comments section of the post, writing, “I love you so much mum x from day 1 you have showed us unconditional love and haven’t stopped since ❤️” 

The sweet childhood images include snaps of a young Victoria in a navy blue tracksuit and one of her posing beside her birthday cake wearing a lace-trimmed party dress.

The fashion designer has welcomed her fifties with open arms and to mark her big birthday in April of last year she shared on Instagram how “blessed” she felt, adding that she was embracing 50 in heels!

Her caption continued, “Blessed, but also accomplished and deeply content. Not just of where I am as a woman, but of how far my fashion and beauty brands have come.”

She also told her followers not to limit themselves. “I believe that you can be many things. A pop star, a mother, a wife, a designer… My passion has always been to dream big, then dream even bigger! Believe in yourself first — everyone else will follow,” the star wrote.

Meanwhile, her husband David is on the cusp of his own 50th birthday next month but recently insisted that ageing didn’t bother him “one bit.”

In a February interview with U.K. title Men’s Health, the sports star said growing older wasn’t something that he was worried about. ”As long as I’m fit and healthy and my family are healthy, that’s all I care about,” he insisted to the publication.
