• Patrick Mahomes and wife Brittany Mahomes spent time with Tom Brady at an annual party held ahead of the F1 Miami Grand Prix
• The group attended the party alongside other stars, including Kevin Love and Jelly Roll
• The NFL quarterbacks have crossed paths on and off the field before, and have publicly praised each others’ abilities in the past

Patrick Mahomes caught up with another legendary quarterback while in Florida for the F1 Miami Grand Prix.

On Friday, May 2, the Kansas City Chiefs star and wife Brittany Mahomes kicked off Miami Race Week at the star-studded first night of the American Express presents Carbone Beach party, where fellow NFL legend Tom Brady was also in attendance.

Patrick, 29, and Brady, 47 — who have a history, both on and off the field — snapped a photo together at the exclusive bash, which was held at Carbone Miami on South Beach.

In the snapshot, the Chiefs star smiled widely with his arm wrapped around the retired quarterback. The duo was also spotted shaking hands at the kickoff of the three-day celebration in another photo.

Miami Heat forward Kevin Love and Jelly Roll, who gave an intimate performance, were also at the Miami event.

Elsewhere during the evening, the Mahomes were spotted dancing with other guests. They also snapped a date-night shot on the red carpet.

Given their similar career arcs and powerful throwing arms, Patrick and Brady often receive comparisons and have crossed paths many times before.

Perhaps their most memorable face-off came in 2021, when Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers famously defeated Patrick and the Chiefs in Super Bowl LV.

After the game, the star quarterbacks shared an emotional moment on the field, embracing amid the Buccaneers’ victory celebration and the Chiefs’ moment of defeat.

When they faced each other again the following fall, the Chiefs flipped the script, defeating Brady and the Buccaneers, and the duo once again shared a post-game embrace on the field.

The retired quarterback and Chiefs star have also spent time together outside of football, including during a Las Vegas golf match with fellow NFL quarterbacks Josh Allen and Aaron Rodgers.

In June 2022, Rodgers, 41, and Brady competed against Patrick and Allen, 28, in a Capital One-hosted match at Wynn Golf Club, with the former team taking home the victory.

Patrick has also revealed that Brady — who officially retired from the NFL in 2023 — was not just a competitor to him, but also a mentor.

In January 2023, the Chiefs quarterback revealed that he had been chatting with the seven-time Super Bowl winner to get some tips ahead of the AFC title game.

The Chiefs ended up taking it all the way that year, clinching a Super Bowl victory — and Patrick’s second career championship win — against the Philadelphia Eagles.

“I talked to Tom a little bit, I have a good relationship with him now and he gives me a lot of advice,” Patrick said at a Chiefs press conference ahead of the big game. “Why would you not want to learn from the GOAT?”

“Any time anybody like that wants to give me advice I’ll take it in,” he continued at the time. “It’s cool to see the guys you’ve watched growing up, your whole life, be able to talk to you.”

More recently, Brady praised Patrick and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce after the Chiefs duo surpassed Brady and Rob Gronkowski’s record for postseason touchdowns by a pair in NFL history in 2024.

“BEASTS. When you one up gronk you’re doing something right,” Brady wrote in a post on X at the time.

The Mahomeses are back in Miami.

Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, were spotted having a good time at the lavish Carbone Beach party in Magic City Friday night ahead of the F1 Miami Grand Prix.

Photos obtained by Page Six show the Kansas City Chiefs star, 29, and his spouse, also 29, busting a move to the lively music that played inside of the glamorous venue, where massive chandeliers and curtains in different shades of deep red and purple adorned the space.

The married couple kept it casual for the star-studded event, with Brittany wearing an olive romper, while Patrick sported a baby blue shirt and white trousers.

At one point in the evening, while the mom of three used the restroom, the NFL quarterback waited for her nearby, and was spotted briefly chatting with NBA star Kevin Love, whose dad recently died.

Patrick was overheard saying that he was in town just to have fun and took a moment to pose with Love, 36, and his wife, Kate Bock, for photos until Brittany rejoined them for a group photo-op.

The Mahomeses also mingled backstage with Grammy-nominated artist Jelly Roll, who took the stage later in the night to sing a medley of his hits, including “I Am Not Okay,” “Liar” and “Wild Ones.”

The singer, 40, also got the crowd hyped by performing covers of Eminem’s “Lose Yourself,” Biz Markie’s “Just a Friend,” Nickelback’s “How You Remind Me” and many others in his more than hour-long set.

“Not sure what heaven feels like, but I’m pretty sure it feels like Carbone Beach during …F1,” Jelly Roll told the enthusiastic audience.

Aside from Tennessee-born rapper and Love, Patrick also spoke to fellow Super Bowl champ Tom Brady and even posed for a pic with the retired New England Patriots quarterback.

Other stars who attended the luxe party Friday night were Bethenny Frankel, Lindsey Vonn, Stassi Schroeder, Andrew Schulz, Victor Cruz, Brooks Nader and Cuba Gooding Jr.

However, Patrick’s best friend Travis Kelce did not make it out to the fabulous fête, hosted by renowned chef Mario Carbone, in South Beach.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 35, had to be in New York City earlier in the week for a photo shoot.

He is expected to head down to South Florida, though, for the Grand Prix on Sunday, as he and Patrick are both investors in the F1 team Alpine.

The Kansas City Chiefs teammates were two of the many A-listers who attended the racing event in previous years at the Miami International Autodrome at the Hard Rock Stadium.

Prior to last year’s big race, Patrick and Brittany were spotted packing on the PDA at a Miami hotspot. They then hit the race track together in style.

Dannielynn Birkhead is feeling close to her late mother Anna Nicole Smith through fashion.

While attending the annual Barnstable Brown Gala Friday, May 2 ahead of Saturday’s 2025 Kentucky Derby, the 18-year-old daughter of the model and Larry Birkhead told reporters that this year’s gown held a special meaning. 

“This is the closest to a hug I can get from her,” Dannielynn told a reporter as she walked the red carpet. 

Birkhead shared a special father-daughter image of himself and Dannielyn posing at the event. In the Instagram caption, he explained the sentimental meaning of Dannielyn’s attire.

“Dannielynn is wearing Anna Nicole’s dress that she wore 21 years ago to this same event. Life full circle. She said she chose the dress because it was her Mom’s and ‘super cool,’ ” he wrote.

The floor-length black gown featured a halter neck and a relaxed fit. Just above the knee was a split, letting the dress flow as the teen walked.

Several dazzling pieces of blinged-out material were featured on the front and back of the ensemble.

Dannielynn showed all the angles, which served as a nod to how her mother wore the piece just over two decades ago. 

Continuing to channel her mother, who died in February 2007 of an accidental drug overdose when Dannielynn was just 5 months old, Dannielynn wore her blonde hair in the same pinned-up style. 

“It was emotional because the last time I saw that dress was on Anna,” Birkhead, 52, told PEOPLE at the gala on Friday.

He and the late actress met at the Barnstable Gala in 2003.

When Dannielynn was just 3 years old, she made her Kentucky Derby debut with her father.

Ever since then, they have turned it into an annual tradition.

Birkhead told PEOPLE that when Dannielynn “was a little girl, she walked over and she put her hand on the dress.” 

He added, “And now that she’s actually old enough to wear it, it just seems surreal that we’re at this moment.”
