The expensive Equinox Printing House is facing issues with a broken elevator and lack of water supply.
Equinox Printing House, a high-end gym in Manhattan’s West Village, has been facing ongoing issues that have left its members frustrated and disappointed. From broken elevators to water shortages, the gym’s patrons are growing increasingly exasperated with the lack of resolution to these problems.
Reports of members getting stuck in the elevator for almost an hour until being rescued by the FDNY have caused uproar amongst gym-goers. With classes being canceled due to the inability to access the upstairs area, many members have chosen to take their business elsewhere rather than continue to pay the hefty $3,600 annual fee.
In response to the water interruptions, the gym management has assured members that new reservoir water tanks are being installed to prevent future disruptions. However, the promised restoration of water by Friday has not appeased the disgruntled customers, who continue to receive emails about ongoing elevator issues and canceled classes.
One member even lamented being separated from their car keys left in a top-floor locker when the elevator failed, highlighting the inconvenience and frustration that members are experiencing on a daily basis. Despite the gym’s celebrity clientele, including Claire Danes and Will Arnett, many are considering leaving for more functional and less expensive alternatives.
Online reviews of the gym echo the sentiments of its members, with complaints about the unreliable elevator and the inaccessibility of certain facilities due to the ongoing problems. While some members have expressed understanding for the occasional maintenance and service interruptions, the continuous issues have pushed many to seek alternative gym options like Life Time and Chelsea Piers Fitness.
As members weigh their options and contemplate leaving the pricey Equinox Printing House, the gym’s management has yet to comment on the situation or provide a satisfactory resolution to the issues plaguing the establishment. It remains to be seen whether the gym can regain the trust and loyalty of its members or if its reputation will continue to suffer as a result of the ongoing problems.
