‘Sex and the City’ alum reveals surprising career move after coming out of hiding

And just like that, Jason Lewis is an author.
The “Sex and the City” alum, 54, revealed he moved to Costa Rica and wrote a nine-book fantasy series, a week after emerging on Instagram for the first time in three years.
During an interview with the Hollywood Reporter Thursday, Lewis revealed he spent his time in Central America surfing, learning Spanish and waking up — sometimes at 4 a.m. — to work on his trilogies.
“I do my thing and walk the beach or run the beach if the surf isn’t good yet and then have my coffee and settle in and get to the desk and have a session,” he detailed.
After breakfast he heads back to his desk and tries to “get anywhere from 1,000 to 2,000 words on the page a day.”
The books are all “set in the same world in different eras,” with the “Sex and the City 2” star releasing the seventh book first.
“I chose to start at the end,” Lewis told the outlet, stating that his novels land under the “epic fantasy” genre.
The actor shared that his return to social media was at the behest of his representation, but he doesn’t want “to get lost in the idea of performative posting.”
“I very much like to try and create a community,” Lewis expressed, “and not just be in the broadcast of, ‘Hey, check me out. Aren’t I awesome?’”
However, the writer knows he has to grow an audience that will take interest in his books, so he “put a lot of thought” into his first post back.
On May 21, Lewis uploaded a video of himself walking on the beach to the social media platform.
He cryptically explained to his followers why it “was time” to finally return to the app.
“I went quiet,” Lewis admitted. “Not because I have nothing to say, but because I had something to do.”
“The kind of creative work that doesn’t leave room for much else, and I made my peace with that. It’s the kind of work that needs to find its people, though.”
At the time, Lewis didn’t key his fans into his writing, but did say the project was “far enough along now that it felt like it was time to resurface and share what I’ve been doing.”
The former model captioned his post, “After three years, it was time.”
Lewis left the public eye after competing on Season 31 of “Dancing With the Stars” in 2022.
He and his dance partner, Peta Murgatroyd, were the first pair eliminated.
Lewis credited his fianceé, actress Liz Godwin, with convincing him to give the ABC show a shot.
“This year, when the offer came in, my fiancée asked me to be a little less pigheaded and at least take a look at a show,” he told People at the time.
Lewis first gained popularity for portraying Samantha Jones’ (Kim Cattrall) young model boyfriend Smith Jerrod on “Sex and the City” from 2003 to 2004.
He then starred in the 2008 “Sex and the City” movie and its sequel in 2010.
Despite being a fan-favorite, Lewis — whose last acting role was in 2018’s “Midnight, Texas” — was not asked to return for the show’s reboot series, “And Just Like That.”
“As much as I appreciate the flattery,” Lewis expressed to the Daily Front Row at the time, “the conversation is about the girls.”

Vrai makes the best lab-grown diamond earrings — just ask Taylor Swift
Prepare to polish up real nice.
Giant statement earrings have their time and place — but if you ask me, daintier fine jewelry pieces you can sleep, shower and sweat in are far superior. In addition to being more comfortable than shoulder-dusting styles, these classic studs and drops elevate any outfit and are guaranteed to go with everything in your closet, making them well worth the investment.
One of my favorite sources for this sort of everyday sparkle? Vrai, whose delicate lab-grown diamond designs marry top-tier quality and craftsmanship with a commitment to sustainable production.

“We create diamonds by crystallizing greenhouse gasses in our zero-emission foundry — the world’s first [to be] certified carbon-neutral,” Vrai co-founder and president Mona Akhavi previously told Page Six Style.
“The diamonds are gently grown in plasma reactors powered by 100% renewable energy from the Columbia River, located in America’s beautiful Pacific Northwest — entirely removing the environmental and human toll of mining.”
I’m the proud owner of several pairs of Vrai earrings, including the Linked Tennis Earrings and Solitaire Studs, and have been known to wear them for weeks at a time.
I’m in good company, too; Taylor Swift’s a big fan of the brand, having been spotted multiple times in both aforementioned styles. (She even owns two different sets of the Solitaire Studs — one featuring round brilliant stones like mine, the other with trillion-cut ones.)

The 14-time Grammy winner’s particularly fond of the Linked Tennis Earrings, which she’s worn to Chiefs games, movie premieres, dinner dates and even onstage during her Eras Tour.
“As a creator of her own music, career, story and brand, Taylor aligns with Vrai‘s diamond origin and creation process; disrupting expectations through innovation and authenticity,” Akhavi told us last year.
“[Swift] is known for her authentic style that favors self-expression and is full of symbolism — just as Vrai designs are symbolic and meaningful.”

And judging by the fact that my favorite earrings just as beautiful now as the day I bought them, I’d guess Swift’s are still in pristine condition, too.
In fact, I’m optimistic they’ll last for eras to come.

Zendaya wears angel wings at ‘The Odyssey’ NYC premiere

Zendaya made a show-stopping appearance at “The Odyssey” premiere in New York City, donning ethereal angel wings on the red carpet.
The actress was pictured at the event on Tuesday evening in a plunging, off-white strapless feather-lined gown with a thigh-high slit from Matiéres Fécales.
The dress featured a long train, as well as the dramatic feathered matching wings, which stretched out past her shoulders.
The “Euphoria” star accessorized with jeweled Chopard chandelier earrings and sculptural white wedge heels, and styled her hair a soft, curly braid that trailed down her back.
She finished the jaw-dropping look with a natural makeup palette.
Footage from the event showed the “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” actress effortlessly showing off every angle of the breathtaking look for photographers before stepping into the event.
Fans on social media gushed over the look, with one person writing, “Flawless!! I’m also loving her makeup looks, so simple yet so perfect for each outfit ❤️”
Another remarked, “Wow thanks a lot I just passed out,” while a third chimed in, “How do you keep Slaying every single time? Like how 🤌🏻✨💕”
Others weighed in with one-word compliments, including “Mesmerizing,” “Beyond,” and “Iconic.”
The “Dune” star, 29 — who plays Athena, goddess of wisdom and warfare in the film — divulged during the appearance that the look has been years in the making.
“Law put this on hold a long time ago. Like, two years ago,” she said of her longtime stylist, Law Roach, during an E! News livestream.
“We’re usually on the same page,” she added. “We have gone back and forth a few times. It’s family, so that’s how we do it.”
Zendaya was joined by A-list legends Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, Matt Damon, Lupita Nyong’o and more as the cast gathered for the latest premiere.
It’s worth noting that her husband, Tom Holland, attended the event as well, posing on the red carpet in a sleek buttonless, monochromatic black suit.
They were previously spotted at premieres in Paris and London earlier this month to celebrate the highly anticipated release of director Christopher Nolan’s Greek epic.
For the Paris premiere, she notably modeled a custom white lace cutout gown by Louis Vuitton.

Tom Segura hinted at Christina Pazsitzky divorce before breakup bombshell

Comedian Tom Segura hinted at his split from wife Christina Pazsitzky by not wearing his wedding ring on his latest podcast episode.
Segura ditched his ring for Monday’s episode of his “2 Bears, 1 Cave” podcast that he co-hosts with pal Bert Kreischer.
The hour-long episode came out the same day of Segura and Pazsitzky’s separation news.
Segura had his wedding ring during all his prior podcasts, including the June 29 episode of “2 Bears, 1 Cave.”
According to TMZ, Segura, 47, and Pazsitzky, 50, separated within the last couple of months after 18 years of marriage. They have two sons, Ellis, born in 2016, and Julian, born in 2018.
The former couple founded the podcast network YMH Studios and co-host their popular podcast, “Your Mom’s House,” which debuted in 2012.
They haven’t filmed an episode of “Your Mom’s House” together since late April. Segura wore his wedding ring on that episode.
TMZ reported Segura and Pazsitzky will continue to co-host the podcast despite their split.
“They had a special and productive relationship, creating one of the most successful comedy podcast networks in the industry and, more importantly, two kids,” a source told the outlet.
“They are taking different paths moving forward while remaining devoted to their children,” the insider added.
Page Six has not heard back from Segura and Pazsitzky’s reps.
The comedians, who got married in November 2008, often discuss their marriage on both their podcast and their separate stand-up shows.
In, 2019, Segura joked during a comedy show that the key to his marriage was “intimidation and fear.”
“My wife is Kim Jong-il and I’m the people of North Korea,” he cracked. “Every day, there are a series of interrogations leading to a looming execution.”
Pazsitzky poked fun at Segura in her 2017 Netflix special, “Mother Inferior.”
“I love my husband. I laugh at his jokes. I think he’s fantastic,” she said. “And then all day, every day, I wanna punch him in his dumb face.”
She added, “And it’s not the big things that make you wanna kill your spouse. It’s little stuff.”
