A tragic incident occurred at El Conquistador Golf in Oro Valley, Arizona, when a beloved employee named Rick Messina lost his life after being swarmed by bees. According to reports from USA Today, CBS News, and KOLD-TV, Messina was mowing an area near the Pusch Ridge Course on the morning of Monday, June 24, when he was stung by the bees. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, Messina succumbed to the bee stings on Thursday, June 27.
The 57-year-old had been a part of the El Conquistador Golf agronomy team since July 2022, and his sudden and tragic passing has deeply affected his colleagues and the community. Beekeepers inspected the property after the incident but found no hives or bee activity, giving the property an all-clear.
In a statement obtained by USA Today, El Conquistador Golf mentioned that it appeared Rick was attacked by a traveling swarm of bees, highlighting the sudden and unexpected nature of the incident. The news of Messina’s untimely death was conveyed to club members via email, where he was remembered for his exceptional work ethic, positive attitude, and unwavering commitment to his duties.
Anna Bifano, vice president of Friends of Pusch Ridge Golf, shared insights into Messina’s passion for beautifying the golf course, mentioning that he was working on completing a serenity garden in the area before his tragic demise. She spoke of his ingenuity and take-charge attitude, emphasizing his proactive approach to his work.
In honor of Rick Messina’s memory, the group has initiated a GoFundMe campaign to support his elderly parents, John and Marlene Messina, who shared a home with him in Tucson. The campaign aims to assist the family with expenses during this difficult time and has garnered support from players, local homeowners, and his fellow El Conquistador Golf team members.
The tragic loss of Rick Messina has left a void in the hearts of those who knew him, and his legacy of hard work, infectious smile, and signature Boston accent will be cherished. The community has come together to commemorate his life and contributions, with plans to complete the serenity garden he was working on as a tribute to his memory.
As we reflect on this heartbreaking incident, let us remember Rick Messina for the positive impact he had on those around him and the dedication he showed to his work. May his soul rest in peace, and may his family find solace in the support and love of those around them during this challenging time.

Kourtney Kardashian Regularly Edits This Out of ‘The Kardashians,’ Says Sister Khloé

- Khloé Kardashian has revealed what her sister Kourtney Kardashian Barker regularly edits out of the family’s reality series, The Kardashians
- Khloé and Kourtney, along with their other sisters and mom Kris Jenner, are all executive producers on the show
- The show premiered on Hulu in 2022, a year after the Kardashian-Jenner clan wrapped up 20 seasons of their E! reality series, Keeping Up With the Kardashians
As executive producers on their family reality series, the Kardashian-Jenner clan have a say in cutting and keeping footage — and now Khloé Kardashian has shared an insight into what one of her sisters regularly edits out of the finished product.
“Yes, but it’s more vanity things that we would cut,” Khloé, 40, explained of editing their current reality show, The Kardashians, during the April 16 episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast.
Khloé shared that her eldest sister Kourtney Kardashian Barker is the pickiest when it comes to show edits, but added, “It’s more because she’ll say, ‘I say ‘like’ too many times, so remove this word.’ It’s more that regard. It’s not really storylines because they’re following us, but it’s not about a story concept. It’s more verbiage.”
As for Kourtney’s language changes, Khloé joked, “She still says ‘like’ 500 times.”

Khloé and Kourtney, 45, star on the Hulu show with their mom Kris Jenner and sisters Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner, while the likes of Kourtney’s ex Scott Disick and Khloé’s ex Tristan Thompson also regularly make appearances.
The famous family first appeared on Keeping Up With the Kardashians in 2007 and later relocated to Hulu for their new show The Kardashians in 2022. But Khloé, whose personal life, including a marriage, divorce, babies, cheating scandals and splits have all been featured on the family’s shows, says her approach to filming has remained the same.
“I don’t want to overthink or else I think it really changes how the show is perceived. And so with that — not that I want all of these things to be played out on the show — but I’ve really made a conscious effort to not edit,” she said. “And if I feel like it’s fair game, if something’s in the press that’s true and that’s happening, it’s my sort of, it’s my obligation to have that on TV because that’s what in fact is happening.”
Khloé added that she felt sharing her story helped others, saying, “I can’t be the only one going through certain things. And if it makes somebody else feel seen or if it helps somebody get through something or it doesn’t have to be the exact same thing. But if it’s something that they can relate to at all, I really hope that I make someone feel more seen and safe and that they’re not alone on this island that feels so incredibly isolating.”

While brother Rob Kardashian only features in the family’s Hulu show on the odd phone call after opting to stay out of the spotlight in recent years, other family members have been selective with what part of their lives they have shared on camera.
Kendall, 29, and Kylie, 27, both refrain from discussing their romantic lives, while Kourtney has been vocal about her frustrations with the show highlighting her ex Disick’s response to her engagement to now-husband Travis Barker.

Kourtney has also previously fought with Kim, 44, and Khloé about wanting to limit how much she shares on the show compared to them. During the 2021 Keeping Up With the Kardashians reunion with Andy Cohen, Khloé discussed the friction, saying of herself and Kim, “We give so much and maybe others aren’t holding up their end of the deal too. If other people are going through things and are choosing not to share, that’s when it’s unfair.”

“Why did she do Botox, I swear to god everyone else is the same,” the person commented on Duff’s Instagram carousel of close-up beauty shots.
“Get fckd [sic] butterfly,” Koma clapped back, referring to the netizen’s username.
Fans praised the singer-songwriter in the comments for standing up for his wife.
“Showing everyone how great husbands stick up for their wives,” one user wrote.

She previously addressed Botox in a May 2022 interview with Women’s Health while speaking about the pressure on women to maintain their appearance.

The “Younger” alum, who is mom to four children, also told the outlet she’s “proud” of the changes to her body after giving birth as she posed nude on the cover.
Duff and Koma, 37, tied the knot in 2019 and share three daughters: Banks, 6, Mae, 4, and Townes, 11 months.

A$AP Rocky Issues Apology to Woman He Facepalmed in Viral Met Gala Moment

A$AP Rocky is apologizing once again for unwittingly injuring a fan and messing up her eyeglasses.
The rapper spoke with Vogue for their “Life in Looks” segment on Tuesday, April 15, and reviewed 21 fashion looks throughout his career, including his 2023 Met Gala look. During the video interview, he also acknowledged a viral moment from that night when he accidentally facepalmed a fan.
Ahead of the Met Gala, on May 1, 2023, the rapper was filmed attempting to make his way to the entrance of The Carlyle. But he found himself behind a wall of fans instead. He used a nearby onlooker’s shoulder to help hoist himself over the barrier set up by the hotel, knocking the woman’s glasses askew in the process.
On Tuesday, he told Vogue that he jumped over the barricade because he was trying to get into his hotel room. “I was gonna be late for the Met Gala,” he explained. “I was trying to get in my room, and this poor young little lady, man, I didn’t even know that I messed up her glasses.”
“To whoever that young lady was. Again, I apologize. I’m so sorry. I ain’t mean to do that, sweetheart. My fault,” he added.

At the time of the viral moment, the fan posted a selfie on Twitter, with her oversized frames after the incident. “A$AP Rocky just literally jumped over me,” she wrote.
The rapper took note of the selfie, replying, “LOL MY FAULT $WEETHEART” before following her @youareasapmadz account.
“I’m printing this on a t-shirt,” she joked back, adding, “Why is A$AP now oomf [one of my friends]?”

After the incident, he and girlfriend Rihanna appeared at the “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty”-themed fashion event.
The father of two wore a white shirt under a dark blazer, a dark tie, sunglasses and black shoes, making a show-stopping statement in a red plaid, high-low kilt over bedazzled wide-leg jeans.
During his Vogue segment, Rocky said he loved that look, and liked Lagerfeld’s elegance.
“Sometimes I’m just embodying that spirit. Was just paying homage to his look at one of the shows that he did,” he explained of the look. “[We] kind of wanted to exaggerate the kilt a little bit so it could feel more grand. I was just like, ‘Man, I’m going full throttle today.’ ”
“We gonna do one glove. We gonna do some Michael Jackson s—, you know, we want all of the belts like Karl,” Rocky said. “There is a lot going on, but it’s actually well put together, yo. This is dope. This is when over-accessorizing goes right. This is how you do it.”
