Kelly Rowland made headlines when she shut down a radio host who asked about her longtime bestie Beyoncé’s new music during an interview about her latest onscreen venture. The “Destiny’s Child” alum appeared on “The Big Tigger Morning Show with Jazzy McBee” to promote her new Netflix film “Mea Culpa.”

However, when the radio host quickly wanted to pivot to questions about Beyoncé’s new tracks, Rowland consistently refused to engage. When the host mentioned that there were rumors of a possible Destiny’s Child reunion, Rowland maintained that it was Beyoncé’s business to talk about, and she expressed that she was there to talk about “Mea Culpa,” out February 23.

Rowland’s response to the questions prompted the radio host to smile and compliment her, saying, “Your matrix game is nice.”

It wasn’t the first time that Rowland made headlines recently. She also made an unexpected exit from the “Today” show, with Page Six exclusively reporting that her team had asked for another dressing room that was supposedly occupied by Jennifer Lopez. This created a media frenzy, with speculation that Rowland had certain diva expectations, leaving producers scrambling to fill her co-hosting role with Rita Ora.

When Rowland sat down with Chicago’s WGN News, she declined to answer questions about her controversial exit. This incident also came shortly after an interview with Kelly that brought back to the news the mishap at the “Today” show. While no answers about these incidents were given, Rowland has made it clear that she’s focusing on her upcoming projects and is not interested in engaging in questions about the controversy.
