Julia Fox shows support for Chelsea Blackwell, star of ‘Love Is Blind’, in response to Megan Fox comparison

Julia Fox has spoken out in support of “Love is Blind” star Chelsea Blackwell following the backlash she’s been receiving for comparing her physical appearance to Megan Fox.
Blackwell, 31, posted a video on TikTok Tuesday, begging anyone who has ever told her she resembles Machine Gun Kelly’s fiancée to come forward immediately amid the harsh criticism.
Julia was one of many “Love Is Blind” fans who came across Chelsea’s video and vouched for her in the comments section, writing, “Don’t worry sis. I see it.”
Despite the fact that they share the same last name, Julia, 34, and Megan, 37, are not related.
Blackwell previously shared a TikTok video poking fun at the hate she was getting for mentioning that she resembled the “Jennifer’s Body” star while still building relationships in the pods, sight unseen.
“Go on a show to find love > get your ass dragged,” she captioned an outfit of the day video set to Led Zeppelin’s 1970 hit “Immigrant Song.”
She also reposted a statement her friend shared on her Instagram Story to hit back at the haters.
“People are so mean here on the internet and take reality TV way too seriously. Like it’s a show y’all, we need to cool it,” Presley Carter’s post read.
“These are real people with feelings, and emotions. We’re ALL imperfect, all trying our best. Please respect the cast through this.”
Blackwell divided the internet regarding her appearance while still dating in the pods on “Love is Blind” Season 6. At one point, she told love interest Jimmy Presnell, 28, that she has been told several times that she looks like the “Transformers” star.
She noted that she doesn’t see it herself and that the comparisons happen because of her “light eyes and dark hair.”
“That’s the only reason. There’s nothing else,” she asserted.
Once Blackwell and Presnell met for the first time after getting engaged, he openly told the camera in his confessional that he was surprised by her appearance. He even called her a liar for saying she resembled the Hollywood bombshell.
Despite getting roasted online for the comparison — and seemingly by her fiancé, too — several fans have shown support for Blackwell in addition to Julia.
“Y’all are wild for saying this woman doesn’t look like Megan,” one person wrote under her post from Tuesday.
“Anyone who says you don’t look like Megan is lying!!! Gorgeous girl,” a third supporter penned.
Julia’s comments and the public’s support emphasize the importance of lifting people up instead of tearing them down. Chelsea’s comparison to Megan Fox is a matter of personal perception and should not draw severe backlash. The reality TV star and actress should not be subjected to hate, and it’s important to remember that everyone, even those in the public eye, has feelings. Instead of focusing on negativity, we should all strive to spread kindness and support one another, especially in the predominantly negative environment of social media.

Paul Simon, 83, Undergoes Successful Back Surgery After Canceling 2 Shows

NEED TO KNOW
- Paul Simon is healing after undergoing a successful back surgery this week, but needs some additional time to recuperate before his performance in Long Beach, Calif.
- The singer said he is looking forward to seeing fans again following his recovery
- The Simon & Garfunkel icon announced in late June that he would need to cancel multiple shows in Philadelphia because of “chronic and intense back pain”
Paul Simon will be back onstage after undergoing successful back surgery this week, but a day later than fans hoped.
The musician, 83, needed back surgery this past week to alleviate the “severe back pain” he’s been enduring, according to a statement shared with PEOPLE on Thursday, July 3. Simon’s excruciating back pain previously forced him to cancel his June 27 and 28 shows in Philadelphia.
Simon was next set to take the stage on Monday, July 7, at The Terrace Theater in Long Beach, Calif., but the show has been postponed until the next day to allow Simon additional time to rest.
“Thanks to a great team of doctors, the surgery went well, as expected,” the statement, which was also shared on Instagram, read. “However, it has become clear he will need one additional day of rest and recuperation to ensure he is able to perform at the top of his ability in Long Beach.”
The post continued that the decision to move the concert back by one day was made under careful consideration and that all tickets will be accepted for the rescheduled date. For concert goers who aren’t able to reschedule their plans, refunds will be made available.
The concert’s location will remain the same, according to the statement.

“We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but Paul is looking forward to seeing everyone in Long Beach on Tuesday,” the post read.
Simon canceled two shows at Philadelphia’s Academy of Music on June 28, just hours before the first of his sets began, because of his back injury.
“Paul has been struggling with chronic and intense back pain,” a statement posted to his Instagram read on June 28. “Today it became unmanageable and demands immediate attention. Unfortunately, we have to cancel these shows at this time, as we don’t have the ability to reschedule them.”
“However, we are hopeful after this minor surgical procedure which has been scheduled in the next few days, Paul will be able to complete the tour as well as look into returning to make up these dates,” the statement continued. “In the meantime, please go to your point of purchase or local ticket provider for a full refund.”

The Simon & Garfunkel icon is currently on his A Quiet Celebration Tour, which he announced in February. Simon previously retired from touring in 2018 due to hearing loss. His tour is set to wrap up in early August.
Simon released his latest solo album, Seven Psalms, in 2023. The album was his first since 2018 and his first of completely new material since 2016.

Dez Bryant blasted for controversial take on Diddy verdict

Retired NFL star Dez Bryant is in hot water for his controversial take on Cassie Ventura following her ex-boyfriend Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal trial.
After the rapper was found guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution but acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering on Wednesday, CBS Sports reporter Ashley Nicole Moss posted on X, “my thoughts are with Cassie [Ventura] and her family. as a woman, as a person, her testimony was heartbreaking and i couldn’t imagine how she feels this morning. it’s the very unfortunate reality of women who experience sexual violence — the story is just never enough.”
Ventura, 38, testified during Combs’ six-week trial in New York City that he physically and sexually abused her as well as threatened her during their tumultuous relationship from 2007 to 2018.
“I respect your opinions heavy but Cassie wasn’t no victim.. not even close,” Bryant, 36, replied to Moss’ post.
“she wasn’t a victim? for starters, we saw her beaten on camera …” Moss responded, referencing the surveillance footage showing Combs beating, kicking and dragging Ventura in the hallway of a Los Angeles hotel in 2016.
Another X user added, “What about the assault on tape? She was definitely a victim my guy.”
Someone else noted, “The beating was brutal bro.”
A third wondered, “She wasn’t a victim of the domestic abuse we all witnessed on camera? Is THAT what she ‘wasn’t no victim’ of?”
Another critic pointed out, “We seen her try to leave & bro chased her down ..whooped her & drug her back to the room …come on Dez.”
Many blasted the former NFL star for being an “idiot,” a “f–king dork,” a “sick f–k” and a “piece of s–t.”
“Jesus f–king Christ. This kind of misogyny is so dangerous. You have a DAUGHTER!” one particularly heated netizen said of his 10-year-old child, Isabella. “Heaven forbid she falls in love with a man who mentally/emotionally/physically abuses her or traffics her. You gonna tell your daughter she’s NOT a victim and make her feel more unsafe? Scum.”
An overwhelming number of commenters dismissed Bryant’s opinion altogether given that he was arrested and charged with assaulting his own mother in 2012.
As for Ventura, her attorney Douglas Wigdor issued a statement on the singer’s behalf shortly after the verdict in Combs’ case was read.
“This entire criminal process started when our client Cassie Ventura had the courage to file her civil complaint in November 2023,” Wigdor wrote. (Combs settled with Ventura one day later for $20 million.)
“Although the jury did not find Combs guilty of sex trafficking Cassie beyond a reasonable doubt, she paved the way for a jury to find him guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution,” he continued.
Wigdor went on to praise Ventura’s “indelible mark on both the entertainment industry and the fight for justice … by coming forward with her experience,” highlighting her “exemplary courage” and “unquestionable strength.”
The statement concluded, “This case proved that change is long overdue, and we will continue to fight on behalf of survivors.”
Outside the courtroom, Wigdor informed inquiring reporters that Ventura is “in a good place” and “pleased” that Combs is facing “substantial jail time” while being “held responsible” for two federal crimes.
The maximum sentence for a transportation to engage in prostitution charge — which is the crime in which an individual knowingly transports another across state lines or international borders for the purpose of prostitution — is 10 years.
Since Combs, 55, was found guilty on two counts, he potentially faces 20 years in prison.
The music mogul will remain behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center until his sentencing on Oct. 3.
