Olivia Munn opens up about her decision to have a full hysterectomy during breast cancer fight: ‘It was the right choice for me’

Olivia Munn, the talented actress and mother, recently shared the news of her decision to undergo a full hysterectomy amidst her battle with breast cancer. In a heartfelt interview with Vogue, Olivia opened up about her journey and the difficult choices she has had to make for the sake of her health and family.
Olivia explained that her doctor recommended the hysterectomy as a way to stop the production of estrogen in her body, which luminal B breast cancer feeds on. She described the decision as the best one for her, emphasizing that she needed to be present for her family, especially her son, Malcolm, whom she welcomed with partner John Mulaney in November 2021.
This surgery marked Olivia’s fifth in her cancer journey, adding to a series of other procedures she had previously undergone, including a double mastectomy, lymph node dissection, reconstructive surgery, and a nipple delay. Before opting for the hysterectomy, Olivia had been taking medication that left her bedridden due to severe side effects.
In the interview, Olivia also shared that she had frozen her eggs for the third time, hoping to expand her family in the future. Despite the challenges she has faced, Olivia expressed her gratitude to her loved ones for their unwavering support throughout her battle with cancer. She credited her family, friends, and partner John Mulaney for being her pillars of strength during this trying time.
Olivia’s journey began when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in March, despite testing negative for the BRCA gene and receiving a clear mammogram. Her doctor calculated her Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Score to be at 37 percent, leading to the discovery of luminal B cancer in both breasts, an aggressive and fast-moving form of the disease.
Throughout it all, Olivia has remained resilient and determined to fight for her health and future. Her story serves as a reminder of the importance of early detection, proactive healthcare choices, and the power of love and support in facing life’s toughest challenges.
As Olivia continues on her journey towards recovery, she inspires others with her strength, courage, and vulnerability. Her story is a testament to the human spirit’s ability to triumph over adversity and find hope in the darkest of times. Olivia Munn’s decision to undergo a hysterectomy was not just a medical choice; it was a declaration of her unwavering commitment to life, love, and the future.

Haley Odlozil Left a Letter for Husband Taylor’s Future Wife (Exclusive)

NEED TO KNOW
- Taylor Odlozil and his late wife, Haley, began documenting their lives online in 2022 amid her diagnosis with terminal ovarian cancer
- In the many honest conversations they had about the direction life had taken, Haley knew that included Taylor finding love again
- The widower explains to PEOPLE what he’s found difficult about dating again
Taylor Odlozil is open to what the future holds.
Taylor, 33, spends much of his time online discussing the beautiful life he shared with wife Haley, who died of ovarian cancer in July 2023 at 30 years old. He also documents his experience raising their son, Weston, as they’ve navigated grief together since Haley’s death.
Taylor tells PEOPLE that he and Haley had talked many times about how the father and son would move forward. In doing so, Haley shared her hope that Taylor would find love again.
“She doesn’t want me to be alone. She would always say, ‘I want you to move on and be happy, but the thought of you with someone else makes me want to throw up,'” he recalls.
“Because we were very in love and it was weird for her to think that I would probably be with someone else and maybe remarried one day,” he admits. “But we definitely had the talk many, many times. She wanted Weston to have a mother figure.”

In preparing for that future for them, Haley left something behind for the woman who ultimately wins Taylor’s heart and fills that role in Weston’s life.
“She left a letter to the next woman. I’ve never read it. It’s sealed, and whoever that woman is, I’m supposed to give that to her,” he shares.
“It’s got something, words of wisdom in there. I don’t know what it is, but I think that shows her love and her care for her boys, in making sure that that woman understands what she’s getting into and what she’s getting. I think that’s just very wise of Haley.”
When it comes to finding love again, Taylor has started to venture into the dating pool, but it’s as much of a process as anything else.
“I’ve gone on dates, and there are days where I think I’m ready and I feel good, and there are days I wake up that I’m like, ‘I don’t want to talk to anybody. I don’t think this feels right,'” he admits.
“It’s definitely been a challenge for me,” he adds. “I was just very, very in love with Haley, and it’s just taken me time to try to open up my heart to somebody else. It’s not as easy as people think. And I am struggling with it, but I am trying to take steps out of my comfort zone to grow as a human being and keep pushing forward. Maybe when that right person comes along, it won’t be as hard.”
Taylor is grateful for the online community that has followed his story with Haley and Weston since he first shared it in the fall of 2022.
“I just want to thank everyone that has followed along the journey. It’s meant the world to me and it touches my heart every day that so many people are affected by the story. And I feel so blessed that I get to make videos and tell the story and share it, and help brighten people’s days,” he says.
“It means a lot to me, and I’m just so grateful for my following. I love them and I’m just so blessed to have them.”
The last two years have brought a lot of change for Taylor, who says he sees a difference in his “understanding of life.”
“I see the beauty of life more than ever. It’s like the world around me has slowed down. I know that’s weird and sounds crazy, but it’s like I finally understand. Life is just hard. It’s going to be hard, and everything finds a way to work itself out. We get so stressed out over things that don’t matter,” Taylor says.
“Because I’ve been through such an immense amount of pain and such a hard thing in life, it’s really made everything else in my life so much smaller and easier to understand. I have no stress and no anxiety. I’m not depressed. I’m just grateful for the days I get. And because of my faith, I know that I’ll see her again.”

Heidi Klum rocks tiny string bikini at the beach

Heidi Klum soaked up the love on her sun-filled getaway with hubby Tom Kaulitz.
A shirtless Kaulitz caressed Klum’s stomach and nuzzled her neck as they indulged in some serious PDA on the beach — including a passionate kiss at sunset — in recent Instagram videos.
Klum sported shaggy bangs and long beach waves for the romantic moments.
“It’s another day for you and me in paradise ❤️❤️,” the makeup-free model captioned one of the clips from Sunday, which was set to Phil Collins’ 1989 song with the same lyrics.
The same day, the former Victoria’s Secret model, 52, vibed with Kaulitz, 35, as they enjoyed some music on their vacation. Klum wore her copper-colored bikini with a towel wrapped around her waist while relaxing with her spouse.
“🥳❤️ Sunday fun-day,” the former Victoria’s Secret model captioned the video.
In another clip shared to Instagram Monday, the “America’s Got Talent” judge cheekily untied her brightly colored cover-up to reveal a red two-piece swimsuit underneath as she walked through a tropical grove.
Klum shielded her face from the sun with a zebra-print hat and blue sunglasses, and finished the look with a pair of gold sandals. Pete Rodriguez’s iconic hit “I Like It Like That” played in the background as the supermodel playfully strutted past the camera with a shimmy.
And on Tuesday, she added to her string of bikini posts with another string bikini paired with reflective sunglasses and damp, wavy hair. “Every day 👙☀️ 🌴and ❤️🥰,” she wrote in the caption.
Klum’s followers gushed over her effortless vacation vibe in the comments section. “Ageless beauty and icon🔥🔥,” wrote one person, while another remarked, “Slay queen 🥰👏🏻.”
Others simply added rows of hearts and flame emojis to express their admiration for Klum’s flawless physique.
The mom of four is never shy when it comes to bikini snaps. In June, she slipped into a strappy gold thong bikini by Calzedonia for a little backyard gardening.
The Italian swimwear brand previously announced Klum as the face of their summer campaign in her home country of Germany.
She most recently took to Instagram to promote the brand on Monday in a white string bikini paired with a white button down shirt and sparkling earrings. “It’s not summer without @calzedonia 🤍 ,” she wrote in the caption.

Wyle’s reaction to Ifeachor’s departure comes days after she hinted at her exit.
Ifeachor shared an Instagram post on July 10 in which she bid farewell to her character.
“What a blessing to be a part of this first and foundational season of #ThePitt on @hbomax. It was an absolute privilege to play Dr. Heather Collins in such a groundbreaking season and piece,” she captioned the post.
Ifeachor added a message to the show’s fans, writing, “Thank you to everyone who has watched & supported Season 1 & shared their stories with me.”
The first season of The Pitt chronicled a day in the life of the emergency room of a Pittsburgh hospital.
Each episode represented an hour of the medical staff’s shift. The ER is run by Wyle’s Dr. Robinavitch, the attending, with the help of two senior residents: Ifeachor’s Dr. Collins and Patrick Ball’s Dr. Frank Langdon.
Together, along with a few medical residents and medical students as well as a dedicated nursing team led by Katherine LaNasa‘s charge nurse Dana Evans, they set out to help as many patients as possible.
