Savannah Guthrie vows not to ‘fall apart’ for kids’ sake amid mom Nancy’s disappearance

Savannah Guthrie promised not to “fall apart” for the sake of her two children during her “Today” show interview on the disappearance of mom Nancy Guthrie.

“I will do it for my kids,” the journalist told Hoda Kotb during the emotional sitdown Friday, referencing daughter Vale, 11, and son Charles, 9.

Savannah, who shares the little ones with husband Michael Feldman, added, “I will not let whoever did this take my children’s mom away.”

The 54-year-old went on to say Nancy modeled the same strength when Savannah’s dad, Charles, died when the NBC personality was a teenager.

“She taught me,” Savannah explained. “I saw her grief, I saw her world shatter — but I saw her get up, saw her love, saw her faith.

“She taught all of us,” the “crushed” and “heartbroken” former attorney continued, referencing brother Camron Guthrie and sister Annie Guthrie. “I may not do it as well as her, but will do it.”

Savannah’s conversation with Kotb comes nearly two months after her 84-year-old mom was kidnapped from her Arizona home on Jan. 31.

The TV personality, who discussed her April 6 “Today” show return elsewhere in the interview, sobbed while sharing how she was in “agony” over Nancy’s disappearance in the portion that aired Thursday.

“I wake up every night in the middle of the night, every night, and in the darkness, I imagine her terror, and it is unthinkable,” Savannah said. “But those thoughts demand to be thought, and I will not hide my face.”

She learned on Feb. 1 that Nancy was missing when she received a call from Annie.

“I said, ‘Is everything OK?’ And she said, ‘No.’ She said, ‘Mom’s missing,’” Savannah recalled. “And I said, ‘What? What are you talking about?’ She said, ‘She’s gone.’”

The NBC personality explained that she and Annie thought their mom may have had “some kind of medical episode in the night,” describing how the “back doors were propped open.”

However, the matriarch’s cell phone and purse remained in the home.

Savannah, additionally, called out the “cruel” allegations that her family was involved in Nancy’s disappearance.

She will “never understand” the speculation, adding that it “piles pain upon pain” as she fiercely defended Camron and Annie’s husband, Tommaso Cioni.

Nancy was reported missing after she didn’t attend church service on Feb. 1.

Surveillance footage of a masked and armed person outside of Nancy’s front door the night she was abducted was later released by the FBI.

Savannah and her siblings have accepted the possibility that their mom might be dead, but have offered $1 million for her return.

Tom Brady got his revenge on Kevin Hart during Sunday’s Netflix roast.

The retired NFL player dragged the comedian’s 2017 affair into his “Roast of Kevin Hart” set over the weekend.

Dubbing himself a “busy man,” the former quarterback, 48, quipped, “I do have a few words for you before I return to my affairs in Las Vegas.”

Hart, notably, admitted to cheating on his then-pregnant wife, Eniko Hart, in Las Vegas in 2017.

Brady pretended to backtrack, saying, “Oh, wait, I’m talking about affairs in Las Vegas. Was that off? Not supposed to talk about affairs in Vegas?

“I think I broke another rule,” he continued. “F–k it. I talked about it.”

The seven-time Super Bowl winner, additionally, hit on Hart’s partner, with whom the actor, 46, shares two of his four children.

“I’m too classy to go after your beautiful wife. Or am I?” the athlete mused before turning to Eniko, 41, and asking, “What’s up?”

Brady wasn’t the only one to do so, with Dwayne Johnson also making headlines for raunchy jokes about the “sexy” model.

“[She] deserves an Academy Award for pretending she likes to f–k you,” the “Moana” star, 54, said onstage, noting that he and Eniko could “open up a bottle of tequila and, you know…”

Johnson subsequently demanded Hart “stop squirming.”

In 2024, Hart took part in “The Roast of Tom Brady” and took multiple swipes at the ex-New England Patriots player’s failed marriage to ex-wife Gisele Bündchen — reportedly leaving her “deeply disappointed.”

He claimed the Victoria’s Secret Angel, 45, “f–ked her coach … that karate man,” Joaquim Valente, whom she has since married and welcomed a son with.

Calling Brady an “idiot” at the time, Hart continued, “I mean Jesus Christ, Tom. One of the smartest quarterbacks ever played a game. How did you not see this coming? Eight f–king karate classes a day … and she’s still a white belt. F–k Tom. The only bruises she had were on her ass.”

Hart referenced the brutal roast on Sunday before Brady came onstage, claiming his was about to be “way better.”

He added, “The reason why is because I’m not a bitch. Tom is a bitch. Tom sat there the whole time with the f–king white man’s face … He was a f–king bitch. I ain’t no bitch. You bring whatever it is that you got.”

Return of the Jedi’ actor dead at 82

Michael Pennington, who had a role in “Star Wars: Episode VI: Return of the Jedi,” has died.

The actor passed away Sunday, the Telegraph reported.

He was 82 years old.

Pennington played Death Star Commander Moff Jerjerrod in 1983’s “Star Wars: Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.”

Other notable roles the British actor played were Laertes in 1969’s “Hamlet” and Michael Foot in 2011’s “The Iron Lady.”

Pennington also founded the English Shakespeare Company in 1986 with theater director Michael Bogdanov, which promotes the work of William Shakespeare.

Pennington judged himself harshly for his “Star Wars” character, though it was well received by fans.

“I look at it now and I think I overact horribly and I can’t even remember the storyline,” he said in a September 2012 interview. “We all did it for a song, but I suppose that it has given me some kind of calling card for movies.”

“Whenever I come out of the Stage Door after a performance, all people would ask about was ‘Star Wars,’” he continued. “Nowadays, there’s less of that and more about ‘The Iron Lady.’”

He got married to actress Katharine Barker in 1964, and they shared a son, Mark, before they divorced in 1967. According to the Telegraph, his partner, arts administrator Prue Skene, died last year.

“A warm and pleasant man, Michael Pennington enjoyed the company of fellow actors and took his turn in cooking a meal for everyone, proving himself an accomplished chef,” the outlet also wrote.

“At one time he liked to hand out jars of his homemade quince butter,” they added.

Justin Theroux’s unrecognizable ‘Devil Wears Prada 2’ role baffles viewers

One actor who appears in the new sequel to “The Devil Wears Prada” appears so unrecognizable in the film that fans are reporting they didn’t even realize it was him.

And a warning — mild spoilers for “The Devil Wears Prada 2” below.

Actor Justin Theroux’s name appears in the opening credits for the film, along with returning stars like Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt.

And Theroux appears midway through the film in a supporting role, as a tech billionaire named Benji Barnes who also happens to be Blunt’s character Emily’s new boyfriend, happily bankrolling her latest ambitious career move.

With his orange fake tan and tact-free declarations that AI will soon replace everyone’s jobs, Theroux’s character is a comically grotesque villain — and he does such a good job of it that some fans who were waiting for the actor to turn up on screen never actually clocked that it was him.

“Justin Theroux is unrecognizable in Devil Wears Prada 2. Saw his name in the opening credits and I spent the entire time waiting for him to show up,” one viewer tweeted.

Another tweeted that their main takeaway from the film was: “That’s Justin Theroux??”

Yet another agreed that Theroux was “unrecognizable” in the film: “It took me several scenes to properly clock him.”

Another fan on X called Theroux’s performance “unhinged and hilarious” — and it seems the actor himself agrees.

“The most fun thing about playing him was how silly he was,” Theroux told People at the film’s April premiere.

“He’s such an idiot,” he continued. “To be able to be ridiculous, wear ridiculous clothes — I have a really ridiculous hair thing going on, I’m bald, but then it’s like my hair’s falling out — that was the most fun.”

Of course, Theroux, 54, has also garnered some attention in recent times for his changing appearance in real life.

The actor attended the season two premiere of his Amazon Prime series “Fallout” in Los Angeles in December last year with a noticeably fuller, smoother face.

“Did he do something to his face? Looks different,” one person commented under an Instagram post showing photos from the premiere.

“What happened to his face?” another asked.

The actor, who was previously married to actress Jennifer Aniston from 2015 to 2018, brought his new wife Nicole Brydon Bloom, 32, along as his date for the premiere.

The couple welcomed their first baby, a boy, in April.
