Simone Biles Describes Paris Olympics as a ‘Redemption Tour’

Simone Biles, the iconic gymnast, is gearing up for what she calls a ‘Redemption Tour’ at the Paris Olympics next month. Biles, along with her teammates Suni Lee, Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, and Hezly Rivera, are set to represent the USA in what promises to be a highly anticipated competition.
The Tokyo Games in 2021 saw Biles facing struggles with her mental health, leading to her withdrawal from most events. However, her teammates rallied to secure a silver team medal and several individual accolades. Now, Biles is ready to make a triumphant return, aiming to prove that they are stronger, more mature, and more consistent athletes than ever before.
At a recent press conference, Biles expressed her excitement for the upcoming Olympics, emphasizing that the team is committed to giving their best performance in Paris. The 27-year-old gymnast highlighted the importance of self-motivation and the love for the sport as driving forces behind their pursuit of excellence.
In addition to her athletic endeavors, Biles also touched upon her personal life, discussing the support she receives from her husband, Jonathan Owens. The couple, who tied the knot in April 2023, share a deep connection and mutual respect for each other’s aspirations and dreams. Owens, a football player for the Chicago Bears, will be taking time off from training camp to be by Biles’ side during the Olympics.
As a veteran in the gymnastics world, Biles reflects on the changes she has witnessed in the sport and her own approach to recovery and training. She acknowledges the evolution of her mindset and physical capabilities over the years, emphasizing the importance of self-care and proper recovery methods to maintain peak performance.
Looking ahead to the Paris Olympics, Biles and her teammates are eager to welcome newcomer Hezly Rivera to the team. Despite her young age, Biles and the rest of the team are determined to mentor and guide Rivera as she navigates the pressures of elite competition.
Despite facing criticism and scrutiny in the past, Biles remains focused on her goals and is determined to prove her detractors wrong. She acknowledges the challenges that come with success in the world of sports but remains resilient in the face of adversity.
As the countdown to Paris begins, Biles is excited about the opportunities that lie ahead, including the Gold Over America Tour in the fall. With her unwavering determination and unparalleled skill, Simone Biles is poised to captivate audiences once again and inspire a new generation of gymnasts to pursue their dreams.

Post Malone Served Custody Papers from Ex-Fiancée 2 Days Before Coachella

Just a few days before he took the stage at Coachella, Post Malone was served custody papers by his ex-fiancée.
According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, the “Circles” singer, 29, was served custody papers after his ex-fiancée, Hee Sung “Jamie” Park, hired a process server to track down Malone, born Austin Post.
The musician, who took the stage at Coachella Weekend Two on Sunday, April 20, was served on Friday, April 18 at 1:29 p.m. in a Los Angeles parking garage.
A rep for Malone did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

On Wednesday, April 16, legal documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court and obtained by PEOPLE revealed Malone’s ex-fiancée’s name for the first time as Park filed for custody of the couple’s 2½-year-old daughter.
In the filing, Park requested primary physical custody of her and the rapper’s daughter, who was referred to only by her initials — DDP.
According to the court document, Park is seeking joint legal custody and is willing to give Malone visitation rights.
In May 2022, Malone welcomed a daughter with his former fiancée, just weeks after he told PEOPLE they were expecting.
While he didn’t share an official birth announcement for his daughter, Malone revealed the news of his baby’s arrival on Howard Stern in June 2022.

Then in September 2023, Malone discussed his decision to maintain privacy when it came to his daughter and his former fiancée.
“I feel like a lot of people feel entitled to know every single detail of everyone’s life and it’s why I don’t want to post any pictures of my baby, because I want her to be able to make that decision whenever she wants to and is ready,” he told CR Fashion Book for the Muses issue.
However, in 2025, Malone and his ex appeared to have broken up when he was spotted out with a different woman in March.
At the time, TMZ shared a TikTok video captured by a fan who showed him at a bar sitting next to a woman who had been identified as Christy Lee. Malone and Lee have since been spotted in various locales in Rome and Paris.

Jay-Z’s Rape Accuser Files Motion to Dismiss His Defamation Lawsuit Against Her

The woman who accused Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter of sexually assaulting her in 2000 is now asking a judge to dismiss the rapper’s lawsuit against her.
The woman, identified in court docs obtained by PEOPLE as Jane Doe, alleged in a December 2024 complaint that Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs raped her at an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty when she was 13 years old.
Though Doe’s attorneys voluntarily dismissed the case in February, Jay-Z filed his own lawsuit against Doe and her legal team, Tony Buzbee and David Fortney, a month later. He sued Doe and her lawyers, alleging malicious prosecution, abuse of process, and civil conspiracy. He also sued Doe separately, alleging defamation. He claimed in his complaint that the initial allegations of rape against him were knowingly “false” and “malicious,” and Doe’s lawsuit was “strategically and tactically calculated” in an attempt to extort him.
On Tuesday, April 22, Doe filed a motion to dismiss Jay-Z’s lawsuit, alleging that he “fails to state a claim upon which relief can be granted.”
Her attorneys argued in the motion that Jay-Z’s malicious prosecution claim fails short since he alleges “the […] lawsuit was initiated and prosecuted for malicious reasons, not that any process was wrongfully used after issuance.”
“Carter has not alleged facts that would support an abuse of process claim,” the motion states.
The filing says the civil conspiracy claim against the accuser should also be dismissed as her lawyers “have shown that, as attorneys, they are not liable for civil conspiracy under these allegations.”
“Since a conspiracy requires more than one party, Doe cannot be liable for civil conspiracy,” the motion continues.
Doe requests that the defamation claim against her be dismissed, stating that the allegations in her complaint and comments to the media are “absolutely privileged” under California law “and cannot form the basis for a defamation claim.”
Doe’s motion further claims that based on Jay-Z’s own allegations in his complaint, he was not damaged by any potentially defamatory statements, because he alleged that an NBC News piece “disproved” Doe’s claims and and because he claimed that “[n]o person of ordinary care and prudence” would have believed that Carter sexually assaulted Doe.”
In his filing, Jay-Z alleged Doe’s “frivolous” lawsuit caused him “to suffer actual and special damages, including, but not limited to, harm to his personal and professional reputation, harm to his business entity, Roc Nation—which resulted in his business suffering substantial losses in excess of $20 million—out-of-pocket loss, and emotional harm, humiliation, and harassment.”
Jay-Z is seeking assumed, actual and punitive damages.
PEOPLE reached out to Jay-Z, Doe and Buzbee for comment.
Jay-Z’s attorney Alex Spiro previously addressed the rapper’s decision to sue Doe and her attorneys, telling Good Morning America in March, “The truth had to fully come out. This person cannot be allowed to sort of hide from the reality that this was a false accusation.”

Spiro also addressed a recording purported to be Doe denying that Jay-Z ever sexually assaulted her, and that Buzbee “pushed” her to name Jay-Z.
“She says in no uncertain terms, Mr. Carter did not do this,” Spiro said last month. “It is effectively a lie and the only reason Mr. Carter is even involved in this was because she was pushed to involve him, pushed to include him by a lawyer.”
Buzbee responded, telling GMA that Spiro’s claims were a “blatant lie.”
