- Six members of The Skating Club of Boston, including two teens and their moms, were on the flight, Zeghibe announced at a press conference on Thursday, Jan. 30.

Multiple skaters who died on the American Airlines plane that collided with a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter in Washington, D.C. have been identified.
On Wednesday, Jan. 29, at around 9 p.m. local time, American Airlines flight 5342 crashed into the military aircraft over the Potomac River near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport after departing from Wichita, Kan., the FAA said in an initial statement to PEOPLE.
The plane was carrying 60 passengers and four crew members, according to the airline. Officials said Thursday, Jan. 30, they believe there are no survivors. The U.S. Figure Skating team confirmed to PEOPLE on Thursday that several members of the governing body were onboard the aircraft at the time of the crash.
Fourteen U.S. figure skaters, including six members of The Skating Club of Boston, were onboard the American Airlines plane, CEO Doug Zeghibe announced at a press conference on Thursday, Jan. 30.
The victims from The Skating Club of Boston have been identified as two teens, Spencer Lane and Jinna Han, their mothers, Molly Lane and Jin Han, and two coaches, Evgenia Shishkova and Vadim Naumov, former Russian world champions.
Lane, 16, posted a photo on his Instagram Stories of the plane’s wing before take off.
“They’re here at our facility in Norwood six, sometimes seven days a week. It’s a close, tight bond,” Zeghibe said tearfully at the press conference. “So I think for all of us, we have lost family.”
Inna Volyanskaya, 59, a former pair skater who competed for the Soviet Union, was also on the plane, according to Reuters, citing Russian news agency TASS. According to the Washington Figure Skating Club’s website, Volyanskaya was a coach for the team.
Pairs figure skating world champions Evgenia Shishkova, 52, and Vadim Naumov, 55, who won the title in 1994, were also among those onboard the plane, Reuters and The Guardian reported, citing Russian news agencies TASS and RIA.
The couple, who were married, were thought to have lived in the U.S. since at least 1998 after retiring from their competitive careers, Reuters reported. They helped to train young ice skaters.

Gal Gadot promotes ‘Snow White’ solo at Disneyland amid rumored ‘tension’ with Rachel Zegler

Gal Gadot whistled while she worked to promote the embattled “Snow White” live-action remake.
The “Wonder Woman” star appeared to be in good spirits as she made a solo appearance at Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif., on Sunday ahead of the film’s release on March 21.
Her co-star Rachel Zegler was not in attendance for the outing.
Gadot — who portrays the Evil Queen in the reimagined musical — was all smiles as she posed for photos with Mickey and Minnie Mouse and a group of classic Disney villains.
The “Red Notice” actress, 39, also met with several adorable young kids dressed up in costume as mini Evil Queens.
Gadot’s cheerful solo trip to the happiest place on Earth comes amid rumors of “tension” with Zegler, 23, who plays the titular role of Snow White.
Multiple sources told People on Friday that the two actresses have “nothing in common” — citing their “huge age gap” and “very different political views.”
“Gal is annoyed by the movie drama,” one insider told the outlet.
“She enjoyed filming. She was fine with Rachel, but they are not friends. … They did a job together and that’s it.”
Israeli-born Gadot — who also served in the Israel Defense Forces — has been a vocal ally of her native country following the Hamas terrorist attacks on Oct. 7, 2023.
Meanwhile, the “West Side Story” star has been outspoken about her support for the Free Palestine movement amid the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
After celebrating the “Snow White” trailer release via X last August, Zegler added on the thread, “and always remember, free palestine.”
The controversy surrounding the live-action film — which also includes casting backlash and “woke” criticism — reportedly led Disney to scale back its Hollywood premiere on Saturday.
Per Variety, only photographers and a house crew were allowed on the red carpet at the El Capitan Theatre, instead of media outlets that would typically interview the cast.
Despite their political differences, Gadot and Zegler put on their game faces at the event as they smiled and posed for photos with their cast members and director Marc Webb.
Earlier this month, the two also appeared together at the Oscars to present the award for best visual effects.

Gisele Bündchen shows off postpartum body during stroll with newborn son in Miami

Gisele Bündchen showed off her postpartum body while taking a stroll with her and boyfriend Joaquim Valente‘s newborn son in Miami.
On Saturday, the supermodel enjoyed a day out in the coastal city while cradling her 1-month-old baby to her chest in a blue infant carrier and holding her dog on a leash with her other hand.
Bündchen looked casual for the outing, wearing a pair of black leggings, a black tank top, a black baseball cap, white sneakers and sunglasses.
Earlier this week, the mom of three took a walk with her dog and her infant, whose face was shielded from the sun with a white bucket hat.
In February, news broke that Bündchen, 44, had given birth to her third child, her first with Valente, 37.
While the baby’s name is not publicly known, People reported that his middle moniker is River.
The former Victoria’s Secret model is also a mom to son Benjamin, 15, and daughter Vivian, 12, both of whom she shares with her ex-husband, Tom Brady. (Brady is also dad to son Jack, 17, whom he shares with ex Bridget Moynahan.)
Bündchen and the seven-time Super Bowl champ, 47, were married from 2009 to 2022.
The Brazilian beauty moved on with Valente, who is also her jiu-jitsu trainer, in the summer of 2023.
Page Six exclusively reported that Bündchen feels “freer” since she began dating Valente and no longer has to live in Brady’s “shadow.”
A source told us she is “grateful for what she had” with the former New England Patriots quarterback and “is blessed for their children” but is “absolutely loving this new chapter” with Valente.
Though Brady was “stunned” when he learned his ex-wife was having a baby with Valente, he reached out to congratulate her when they welcomed their child.
