Mel Gibson Can Own Guns Again After DOJ Removes Domestic Violence Restrictions

Mel Gibson‘s gun rights will reportedly be restored more than a decade after losing them over a domestic violence incident.
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi approved the decision to allow the actor — a staunch conservative and vocal supporter of Donald Trump — to own a gun again, in addition to nine other people, according to The New York Times.
The outlet cited sources familiar with the decision, noting that the details will be publicly announced in the Federal Register soon.
Gibson lost his Second Amendment rights in 2011 following his misdemeanor domestic violence conviction, concerning an altercation with his then-girlfriend and their child in 2010.
The Braveheart actor was previously named one of Trump’s “special ambassadors” to Hollywood, in addition to conservative actors Sylvester Stallone and Jon Voight.
Just after the announcement, Gibson’s lawyer asked the Justice Department to reverse the decision that revoked his gun rights.
Despite Bondi’s decision, Gibson can’t necessarily own a gun anywhere in the United States — different states have different restrictions, regardless of the federal decision.

Bondi’s decision to appease Gibson’s request comes weeks after internal drama at the Justice Department surrounding the ethics of putting guns back in the hands of a convicted domestic abuser.
In March, DOJ pardon attorney Elizabeth G. Oyer was fired after pushing back when she was asked to restore the actor’s right to bear arms. The Trump administration denied any link between Oyer’s resistance and her termination.
Two weeks before Oyer was terminated, she was added to a group of federal employees discussing the restoration of gun rights to certain people who had been convicted of crimes, she told The New York Times. Oyer didn’t completely understand why she was being included in the discussion, considering the Justice Department rarely weighs in on such debates.
After Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche‘s office determined a list of nine people to whom gun rights should be restored, Oyer was asked to write a memo recommending the decision — and to include one more name, Gibson, on the list.

Oyer said she had no time to vet Gibson and the potential danger of restoring his gun rights. Also noting that his crime was a violent incident, Oyer ultimately determined that allowing him to own a gun “is not something that I could recommend lightly.”
“There are real consequences that flow from people who have a history of domestic violence being in possession of firearms,” Oyer told the Times. “This isn’t political — this is a safety issue.”

Mick Jagger’s fiancée, Melanie Hamrick, defends their 44-year age gap

Age ain’t nothing but a number to Mick Jagger’s fiancée, Melanie Hamrick.
“He’s younger than me!” the former ballerina, 37, exclaimed when Page Six asked about the age gap between her and Jagger, 81, at the New York City Ballet 2025 Spring Gala on Thursday night.
“He’s amazing, he really is,” she added.
The two met in 2014 while Jagger was on tour with his legendary rock band, The Rolling Stones, in Japan, where Hamrick had been traveling with the American Ballet Theatre.
They welcomed a son named Deveraux — the Grammy winner’s eighth child — in 2016.
Hamrick has shared adorable videos of Deveraux showing off his dance skills and, well, it’s safe to say he definitely has the moves like Jagger.
“It’s amazing. It’s natural, it’s in his genes,” she exclaimed. “No one taught him, no one influenced him. He moved like that before he saw any of his dad’s concerts.”
Meanwhile, Hamrick — who is in no rush to walk down the aisle with Jagger — has taken a break from dancing and focusing on her family and other passion projects.
Since hanging up her ballet slippers, she’s penned two steamy novels set in the dance world and told Page Six she’s hard at work on a third tome.
“It’s a little different than the first two so it’s going to take me a little time but it’s a modern retelling of ‘Giselle.’ It’s a big undertaking,” she teased.
So, does that mean fans can expect some smut? We couldn’t help but ask.
“Of course,” Hamrick replied with a laugh. “I’m not going to go away from my roots because it’s so much fun, but it’s not going to be as heavy, ‘soft-porny,’ as you said. I want to slowly venture into more storytelling.”

Vanna White Shares Sweet Childhood Photo with Fans on ‘Wheel of Fortune’

Vanna White is sharing a different side of herself.
After taking fans (and Wheel of Fortune cameras) on a tour of her hometown, North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, the television personality, 68, revealed a never-before-seen photo and video from her childhood.
According to TV Insider, the throwback media pieces were first shared at the end of the Wednesday, May 7, episode of Wheel of Fortune. The show and White later shared them in a joint Instagram post.

“My family, my brother Chip, my mother Joan, my father Herbert and myself,” explained White about the throwback image.

In the photo, the television personality is seen wearing an adorable dress with her hair pinned to one side as her brother sits beside her.
She then showed a video, presumably from Easter, where she was seen picking an egg from the bottom of a tree and handing it to her mother.
“You know, isn’t it funny that I’m still wearing those pretty dresses? And it’s still purple,” said White. Fans gushed over the sweet image and clip in the comment section of the Instagram post.
“Isn’t she just precious!! Look at that cute little dress!! A beautiful lady!!!❤️❤️,” one comment read. Another fan wrote, “Before I even got to the last slide I said to myself “aww even then Vanna was wearing cute little dresses” and then she said it herself in the video lol. So cute 🥰.”
A third comment read, “Cute little girl, in a cute little lavender dress.💜💜🙋♀️🙋♀️🙎♀️🙎♀️.”
White has been a hostess on the Wheel of Fortune since 1982. She famously turned the letters while former host Pat Sajak guided contestants as they spun the wheel and guessed the letters of a phrase for over four decades.

Miley Cyrus reunites with estranged dad Billy Ray after mom Tish ‘unfollowed’ her on Instagram

It’s a party in the USA!
Miley Cyrus reunited with her estranged dad Billy Ray Cyrus to celebrate her brother Braison’s 31st birthday party on Friday.
The country singer shared a photo of the family posing together to his Instagram. The “Flowers” singer can be seen in the sweet snap with her arms wrapped around her boyfriend, Maxx Morando.
“Happy Birthday Braison!!!!!” Billy Ray captioned the photo, adding several celebratory emojis.
The “Achy Breaky Heart” singer hinted at a potential reunion with his daughter, 32, on Wednesday, when he shared a clip of her singing at the piano.
“Can’t wait to see this young lady,” Billy Ray captioned the post. “Crazy how time flies.”
Soon after, an eagle-eyed fan noticed the former Disney channel star’s mom, Tish Cyrus, had unfollowed Miley on Instagram.
However, a source quickly squashed any speculation of a potential brewing feud, exclusively telling Page Six that the unfollowing was “a glitch” and there is “no drama” between the mother-daughter duo.
Miley’s long-reported rift with her father first came to light in 2022 when her parents announced they were divorcing after nearly 30 years of marriage.
Around that time, a source told E! News the end of her parents’ relationship “put a strain” on her connection with her dad “and it’s been hard to connect with him in the last year.”
Cracks within the Cyrus family began to worsen when Tish, 57, moved on with “Prison Break” star Dominic Purcell, whom she married in 2023.
Miley’s younger sister Noah Cyrus allegedly took issue with her mom and the actor’s romance as the 24-year-old was reported to have dated Purcell, 55, before he climbed up the family tree.
Billy Ray, 63, went on to marry singer Firerose. But the marriage was short-lived as they wound up in a messy divorce less than a year later. Most recently, he announced his new relationship with actress Elizabeth Hurley in April.
Earlier this year, the family feud resurfaced after Tish’s son Trace Cyrus expressed his genuine concern for his adopted dad Billy Ray following his disastrous performance at President Trump’s inauguration.
In his online message, Trace, 36, specifically mentioned Noah and claimed that she “desperately has wanted” for him to “be a part of her life,” but he has “not been there for her.”
Sources told Page Six at the time that all of Billy Ray’s children –– except Braison –– “signed off” and “all agreed” on the message before Trace posted it.
The singer has since shared emotional messages online gushing over daughters Miley and Noah.
In addition to Miley, Trace, Noah and Braison, Billy Ray is the also father of adopted daughter, Brandi Cyrus, 37, whom he shares with Tish.
