The downsides to plural marriage took center stage on Sister Wives‘ latest episode.
Valentine’s Day was in full swing on Sunday, April 27 episode of the hit TLC series. And naturally, Brown family members Kody Brown, Meri Brown, Janelle Brown, Christine Brown and Robyn Brown were in reflection mode.
Kody, for one, had an interesting outlook on marriage after enduring three divorces in a 14-month period. “My church isn’t a cult. It’s hard to get into an easy to get out of, but marriage is its own cult. I don’t want to disparage marriage, but it is easy to get into and it is hard to get out of,” the 56-year-old told the cameras.
Later, Kody was shown taking Robyn, 46, to a Valentine’s Day dinner, where she asked him how he felt about no longer being a polygamist. Kody told Robyn he felt as if he’d been “slapped by polygamy.”
“It’s hard not to be bitter about the fact that I bought off on it and did it because in the end, in the last moments of it, it felt terrible,” he said. “I’m like, literally bitter sometimes.”

After Robyn asked if he was “missing what it was before” the demise occurred, Kody said that it was a “loaded” question.

“I don’t want to be flippant with my answer because we were devoted to this, but I’m not interested in plural marriage anymore,” he then explained to the cameras. “I don’t want to pursue another woman because I don’t want that headache, the questions, the struggles, the wonder about trust. I’m not in that space.”
Kody then told Robyn that he “can’t deny” that his children are a “blessing” that’s come out of plural marriage, but he’s “completely discouraged by the idea that people feel obligated to do what we did.” Meanwhile, Robyn said she’s been “heartbroken by all of this and trying to make sense of it.”
However, she later told the cameras separately that she’s now “very scared of plural marriage” because of “what has happened” to her family, adding that “there’s a lot of like trauma there.”

Despite Kody’s initial challenges navigating life as a monogamous man after living as a polygamist for decades, he confidently told Robyn he feels “at peace” with where they now are as a couple. Yet, that wasn’t always the case for him.
“Because I’ve been in plural marriage for so long and it was a sole focus of marriage for me, when we failed at it, I was sabotaging myself,” he explained. “There were days unfair to Robyn that I thought about just walking away from our relationship, too. And that was just because I was so broken, I became self-destructive.”
Looking back on the ways he attempted to sabotage his relationship with Robyn, Kody actually apologized to her “for the dark space I went through and how it harmed you because it wasn’t fair to you.”
“Because I was angry, you’re withdrawing from me. And because you were withdrawing from me, I was experiencing not just the anger from the rejection and the anger from the failure of our failures in plural marriage and everything that I was experiencing there, it was causing me to literally have bad thoughts about us.”

At a different point in the episode, Robyn shared what she felt was something that wasn’t beneficial to her marriage.
“This was something that [Kody, Meri, Janelle and Christine] decided before I even came in the family to not show affection in front of each other. I always saw it as a mistake,” she recalled. “I think it made Kody feel alone, and I think it made each of us wives feel kind of alone.”
Robyn noted that affection “brings comfort to the couple,” adding, “It makes the couple feel kind of safe and secure. And in plural marriage, there’s a lot of insecurity just because there’s so much sharing.”
“It would have made each wife feel more secure and more comfortable if Kody would have been able to show affection or we would have been able to show affection to him,” she concluded.

Sacha Baron Cohen shows up at Wimbledon dressed as iconic character Ali G

Amid reports that Sacha Baron Cohen is secretly filming a new Ali G movie, the star showed up dressed as that iconic character to Wimbledon.
Spies saw the star — seated in section 215 — in the outrageous character’s full mode, in the stands in a white track jacket that says, “Official Wimbledon Ganja Dealer” on the back.
He also was sporting a thick gold rope chain and other typical Ali G accoutrements.
The character — hailing from Staines-upon-Thames — first appeared on the UK’s “The 11 O’Clock Show” as the infamous “voice of da yoof.”
And like his “Borat” character, guests on Ali G’s show were usually duped by the star into thinking he was real. Ali G later got his own show and movie.
A rep for the star didn’t comment.
Cohen, 54, was also seen channeling the character from the stands in an Instagram upload on Sunday.
“I iz BACK! And if u iz at dis borin wimbledore final lookin 2 get grand slammed, I iz here wif de hookup 🌱🍄❄️💊💉 dm me, especially if u iz fit,” he captioned the clip.
The iconic actor isn’t the only celebrity to have made an appearance at this year’s star-studded athletic tournament.
Kate Middleton, has made numerous appearances at Wimbledon this month. Most recently, the Princess of Wales attended the men’s singles final in London on Sunday, accompanied by Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
The royal family members received a standing ovation from A-listers including Nicole Kidman, Andrew Garfield, Jennifer Lopez, Tom Hiddleston and Anna Wintour, while making their way to the royal box.
Other celebs to appear at Wimbledon this year include Lily Collins, Cynthia Erivo, Stanley Tucci, Keira Knightley, Dustin Hoffman and Tom Hiddleston, among many others.
This isn’t Cohen’s first appearance at this year’s Wimbledon. He was previously spotted wearing what appeared to be a white linen suit with a green button-down shirt for day 13 of the iconic tennis tournament on Saturday.

Aaron Lewis says his politics led the music industry to turn its back on him

Aaron Lewis is opening up about why he thinks industry executives have cast him aside.
During a recent interview on the “Pickin’ It Out with Andrew Pope” podcast, the 54-year-old musician spoke about his upcoming record and why he believes the music industry has turned its back on him.
“Everything’s too political now,” he explained. “I’ve played the [Grand Ole] Opry a whole bunch of times, and I don’t get invited to the Opry anymore. All because I believe in this beautiful, amazing country that we’re so blessed to have.”
The musician first found fame as the lead vocalist and founding member of the band Staind. He stayed with the band until the early 2000s, before embarking on a successful solo career in 2010.
During the interview, he reflected on the idea that in two years it would be 30 years since he formed Staind, calling it “such a blessing to still be able to do this after doing it for almost 30 years.”
“We’re now eligible for the Hall of Fame,” he said, before adding, “It’ll never happen.”
His upcoming sixth studio album, “Give My Country Back,” is set to drop July 17. Lewis and Pope said they hope listeners will be able to find the album to listen to it.
“You got to look for it. Any of my stuff,” Lewis explained. “The machine that is has no problem turning its back on me.”
Lewis isn’t the only musician to deal with backlash due to politics.
Vanilla Ice recently received backlash when he was announced as one of the performers at the Great American State Fair, celebrating the 250th anniversary of America.
After the lineup was announced May 29, several performers, including Martina McBride, Bret Michaels, Young MC, the Commodores, Morris Day and others announced they were dropping out.
When it comes to the backlash he received for agreeing to perform at President Trump-backed Freedom 250 events, the rapper said he is “just an entertainer” and that it isn’t fair for him or any other entertainer “to be dragged into politics and stuff.”
“I think people are taking everything too serious, and you should enjoy this concert, this celebration of our country, and we should all come together. That’s what music’s for anyway, to bring people together,” he said. “Music brings people together, and that’s what it’s all about.”
While he chose not to drop out, he didn’t blame the other artists for choosing not to perform at the concert, saying “they have their own reasons, and they live in different places and it’s different,” but that he was “honored” to be able to celebrate his country.

Bunnie Xo reveals real reason she deleted her divorce podcast episode — and the shocking amount of money she made from it

Bunnie Xo doesn’t want her painful divorce from Jelly Roll to be a “permanent headline.”
The influencer addressed taking down her revealing “Dumb Blonde” podcast episode all about her divorce from the singer that she released last month, explaining that while she wants to be open with fans, it’s “backfired” on her.
“I do always feel like I owe you guys the truth of things even when, to me, they’re obvious, but for some reason people always want to try to make things like a negative thing,” she said on her latest podcast episode that dropped Friday.
“I took it down because I realized I just don’t want one of the hardest moments of my life to become a permanent headline,” she continued. “I don’t want to live in that.”
The former OnlyFans creator explained she didn’t want her divorce to be her entire personality. She revealed that she made $100K from the podcast episode, which was one of her highest-viewed episodes ever.
“But, I don’t care about the money,” she stressed. “If I cared about the money, I would have left it up and let it get another f–king 100 grand.”
Bunnie Xo said she deserved the space to heal and move forward. She shared that while people accused her of moving on too fast from her split, she had actually been “mourning the loss” of her marriage for at least a year.
“There is so much behind the scenes that I have not spoken on and that I will never speak on,” she insisted.
“I have been sitting in purgatory for two and a half months in my studio house,” she continued. “Literally, there was times where I was on the floor, screaming, crying, because I could not understand what the f–k was going on.”
She said she lost 20 pounds and was not eating or drinking, adding that there were moments when her friends had to get her IVs because she was so malnourished.
Page Six confirmed last month that Jelly Roll. 41, quietly filed for divorce from Bunnie Xo, 46, in Williamson County, Tennessee, on May 18, after nearly 10 years of marriage.
She said on her now-deleted podcast that Jelly Roll was already dating again, and she’s clearly moved on as well — she was spotted making out with 24-year-old “Calabasas Confidential” star Dylan Wolf at her ex’s bar in Nashville on the Fourth of July.
She told her podcast listeners Friday that Jelly Roll had “no issue at all” with her kissing the much younger reality star, noting, “he gets it.”
