Inside Donald and Melania Trump’s ‘committed’ marriage

President Trump and his wife, Melania Trump, are still going strong after 20 years of marriage.
“There is something in her – the strong woman – but at the same time, there is the soft power; she’s really good at balancing her husband,” the first lady’s official photographer, Régine Mahaux, told Hello! Magazine in an interview published Monday.
Mahaux admitted that she sometimes wonders how Melania, 54, has “the courage to keep going.”
“They’ve gone through so much. She’s committed. She loves him and he loves her,” Mahaux said.
The film director asserted that while Melania can hold her own, the former model has no problem staying out of the spotlight and focusing on the well-being of her husband, 78, and their son Barron, 18.
“She’s always in the right place. She’s always behind her husband. He’s in the light; she doesn’t need the light. She’s a very good No. 2,” Mahaux said, adding, “It’s always her husband first, and I like that; she has strong family values, to be a good wife and to make sure they’re happy.”
Melania is allegedly in a much different place than she was for Donald’s first term in the White House eight years ago.
“She’s always been hands on, but she’s more free nowadays to make a statement,” Mahaux said. “She’s a different person than she was eight years ago and has always been true to herself. This time, it feels like a different energy with new people that the President has surrounded himself with.”
Along with her steadfast devotion to the “Apprentice” alum, Melania reportedly has a reputation for being extremely kind to her devoted team of staffers.
“[When I had] just started to work for Mrs. Trump, I was preparing clothes for a fitting and saw her putting shoes in a suitcase,” her stylist, Hervé Pierre, told the magazine. “I immediately told her that she couldn’t do that and it was my job to do it, and she answered: ‘I always pack myself so I am sure what is in my luggage.’”
The designer continued, “She will also make a coffee for you herself. So if you have a vision of a woman surrounded by servants, you are wrong.”
The “Melania” author’s interior designer described Melania as an “inquisitive and thoughtful individual.”
“She values listening and learning from others when a subject or history is unfamiliar to her,” Tham Kannalikham said. “She understands the power of listening – an often overlooked but critical trait of strong leadership.”
Page Six reported last month that Melania made a statement of individuality with her navy coat and face-shielding boater hat at Donald’s presidential inauguration ceremony.
“She doesn’t care. She’s unreadable, inscrutable — and she likes it that way,” fashion journalist and historian Nancy MacDonell told Page Six at the time. “The look said ‘I’m flawless and in control,’ and it showed that she’s going to do things her way this time — she won’t look back.”
Melania even admitted that she doesn’t always see eye-to-eye with everything her husband does in office.
“I don’t always agree [with] what my husband is saying or doing, and that’s ok,” she told Fox News in January. “I give him my advice, and sometimes he listens, sometimes he doesn’t.”
Melania also clarified that she and her husband are not one entity and that she is more than just Donald’s wife.
“Maybe they didn’t understand me the way maybe they do now, and I didn’t have much support. Maybe some people, they see me as just the wife of the president,” she told the outlet at the time. “But I’m standing on my own two feet, independent. I have my own thoughts.”
Melania — who married Donald in 2005 and celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary Jan. 22 — will split her time between DC, Mar-a-Lago and Trump Tower in New York City, where their son is a freshman at NYU.
“My first priority is, you know, to be a mom, to be a first lady, to be a wife, and once we are in on Jan. 20, you serve the country,” she shared.

Quentin Tarantino and his wife, Daniella Pick, have arrived in France for the 2025 Cannes Film Festival!

Tarantino and Pick’s appearance in Cannes marks a rare public outing for the couple, who got married in Los Angeles in November 2018. “Bonjour Cannes,” Pick wrote over a photo she shared showing fruit and pastries to her Instagram Stories on May 13 — hours before the couple took the carpet.
Earlier on Tuesday, the couple was also photographed holding hands as they arrived at a hotel just ahead of the festival’s opening night. Tarantino flashed a peace sign with his right hand at photographers while holding Pick’s with his left; his wife wore an all-white outfit that featured a crop top and matching cargo pants as she carried a bag over her shoulder and a white jacket in her hands.
Pick is an Israeli singer; she and Tarantino first met when the director was visiting Israel in 2009 to promote his World War II movie. Inglorious Basterds. The pair made their red carpet debut that same year at the premiere of Drew Barrymore‘s Whip It.
The couple had an on-and-off-again relationship until they got engaged in 2017. They share two children: son Leo, 5, who was born in February 2020, and a daughter, 2, who was born in July 2022.
Tarantino last released a movie with 2019’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, his ninth directorial feature. Pick also made her acting debut in period drama about various Hollywood characters living in 1969 Los Angeles.

The filmmaker has long said he will only write and direct 10 movies himself, but he said during an appearance at the Sundance Film Festival in January that he is in “no hurry to actually jump into production” on his 10th movie while he focuses on parenting.
“I’ve been doing that for 30 years,” he said of work at the time. “Next month my son turns 5, and I have a 2½-year-old daughter. When I’m in America, I’m writing. When I’m in Israel? I’m an abba, which means father.”
The Cannes Film Festival will run from May 13 through May 24.

Lauren Sánchez shares rare pic with all three of her kids from ‘best’ Mother’s Day

Lauren Sánchez had the “best” Mother’s Day with her brood.
The 55-year-old posted a rare selfie with all three of her children via Instagram Stories over the weekend.
“Thank you for picking me as your mama!” she wrote to son Nikko, 24, son Evan, 18, and daughter Ella, 17.
“Best day ever!” she continued with a white heart emoji before calling the smiling snap her “whole world in one frame.”
Sánchez wore a polka-dot top and sunglasses in the social media upload, resting her head on her eldest child’s shoulder.
She grinned while her sons stared straight at the camera and her daughter looked off into the distance.
The former journalist shares Nikko with her ex Tony Gonzalez and co-parents Evan and Ella with her ex-husband, Patrick Whitesell.
Sánchez has been dating Jeff Bezos since 2019, with the Amazon founder, 61, getting down on one knee four years later.
The helicopter pilot has since compared their blended family to the “Brady Bunch” as Bezos has four children with ex-wife MacKenzie Scott.
The former couple are the parents of three sons and one daughter, who remain out of the spotlight.
“On a typical Saturday, we hang out, we have dinner with the kids, which is always fun because you never know where the conversation is going to go with this many kids,” Sánchez told WSJ magazine in January 2023.
The duo are set to tie the knot in Italy this summer.
Rumors have been swirling about the upcoming nuptials, from the A-list singers allegedly set to perform — Lady Gaga and Elton John — to the star-studded guest list.
Oprah Winfrey, Ivanka Trump and more celebs are reportedly set to attend.
The bride’s brother Paul Sánchez has already likened the ceremony to Princess Diana and King Charles III’s “wedding of the century.”

Meghan Markle Reveals How Acting Helped Her Prepare for Running Teams

In an unexpected way, studying acting in college prepared Meghan Markle for her future as a founder.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, spoke about what she learned during her days at Northwestern University in a conversation with FIGS medical scrubs creator Heather Hasson on the latest episode of her podcast Confessions of a Female Founder from Lemonada Media, released on May 13.
Meghan said, “I was a theater major, and part of the program was that you couldn’t just do the acting. You had to do soup-to-nuts, every part of what a production would entail, which I actually think is incredible training for when you’re running a team because you appreciate what the sound person does and what the lighting person does.”
“Wardrobe department and sewing were part of it too, so I am comfortable with a sewing machine,” she added, bringing the discussion back to Hasson’s introduction to her scrubs business.
At Northwestern, Meghan double-majored in theater and international relations. She went on to use her acting skills on Suits and other roles before leaving the acting world ahead of her 2018 wedding to Prince Harry.

This isn’t the first time that the Duchess of Sussex has spoken about her college days on her podcast. In the April 22 episode, Meghan told friend and hair colorist Kadi Lee about styling her hair while living at the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority house.
“I don’t even think they made plug-in flat irons at the time,” she said. “They couldn’t! If they did, I didn’t know where they were, because I had the little stove, with the flat iron that would go in, have a paper towel on the side. I mean, probably half the people listening to this are going, ‘What is she talking about?’ ”
“Or you’d pull it out, it would have the little scorch marks. And I remember most of the girls in the sorority who were not Black say, ‘What’s that smell?’ Is hair burning?’ And it was just what you would do to figure out how to grapple with this texture of hair,” Meghan recalled.
