‘RHOC’ star Shannon Beador’s former husband, John Janssen, files a lawsuit against her for $75,000 over money she reportedly borrowed for a facelift.
Shannon Beador, star of the hit reality show “Real Housewives of Orange County” (RHOC), is facing a lawsuit from her ex-boyfriend John Janssen for $75,000. The lawsuit alleges that Beador borrowed the money from Janssen to fund a facelift and has not repaid him.
According to court documents obtained by People, Janssen, a 61-year-old businessman, claims that he lent Beador $40,000 via wire transfer in January 2022 for the facelift, and another $35,000 via personal check in May 2023. The agreement between the two reportedly included Beador paying Janssen back with interest.
Despite Janssen’s multiple requests for repayment in 2023 and 2024, Beador allegedly refused to pay him back. As a result, Janssen is now seeking the full $75,000 plus accrued interest, costs, and reasonable attorneys’ fees through the lawsuit.
However, Beador has defended herself by claiming that the money was a gift. In a written statement to People, she expressed shock and disappointment at Janssen’s decision to sue her. Beador’s attorney has been in communication with Janssen’s counsel, but the lawsuit has proceeded.
On the other hand, Janssen’s legal representative, Edson K. McClellan of Rutan & Tucker LLP, has dismissed Beador’s claim that the money was a gift as “completely meritless.” He stated that Janssen is saddened by Beador’s refusal to repay the loans, leading to the necessity of legal action.
Janssen and Beador’s relationship began in early 2019 and was featured on the RHOC series. However, the couple split in November 2022 after the filming of Season 17. Despite remaining friends for some time, their relationship took a turn for the worse following Beador’s arrest for a DUI and hit-and-run incident, and Janssen’s closeness with Beador’s former castmate Alexis Bellino.
Bellino and Janssen’s relationship blossomed after Beador and Janssen’s split, eventually leading to public displays of affection and rumors of an impending engagement. Janssen even gifted Bellino a $16,000 promise ring for Christmas, signaling his commitment to her.
The legal battle between Beador and Janssen continues, with both parties standing firm on their respective positions. As the drama unfolds, fans of RHOC eagerly await further updates on this high-profile dispute.
Stay tuned for more developments in this compelling saga of love, betrayal, and legal wrangling in the world of reality television.

In a heartfelt interview with Vogue, Olivia opened up about her journey and the difficult choices she has had to make for the sake of her health and family.
Olivia explained that her doctor recommended the hysterectomy as a way to stop the production of estrogen in her body, which luminal B breast cancer feeds on. She described the decision as the best one for her, emphasizing that she needed to be present for her family, especially her son, Malcolm, whom she welcomed with partner John Mulaney in November 2021.
This surgery marked Olivia’s fifth in her cancer journey, adding to a series of other procedures she had previously undergone, including a double mastectomy, lymph node dissection, reconstructive surgery, and a nipple delay. In the interview, Olivia also shared that she had frozen her eggs for the third time, hoping to expand her family in the future. Despite the challenges she has faced, Olivia expressed her gratitude to her loved ones for their unwavering support throughout her battle with cancer. She credited her family, friends, and partner John Mulaney for being her pillars of strength during this trying time.
Olivia’s journey began when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in March, despite testing negative for the BRCA gene and receiving a clear mammogram. Throughout it all, Olivia has remained resilient and determined to fight for her health and future. Her story serves as a reminder of the importance of early detection, proactive healthcare choices, and the power of love and support in facing life’s toughest challenges.
