Can It Actually Combat Frizz?
It felt like every social media app and large beauty retailer had been feeding me the Color Wow Dream Coat Supernatural Spray over the past year.
Whether I was scrolling past a TikTok of water rolling off glossy, pin-straight hair or reading about celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton treating his celebrity clientele, including Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez, with this allegedly miraculous product, I couldn’t escape this pretty silver bottle.
With over 54,500 five-star ratings at Amazon and reviewers that call this product “a revelation” for their haircare routines, it’s no wonder that the Dream Coat has such a dedicated fanbase. Only one question remained: Does it actually work?
As someone with secretive frizzy curls that spring to life once I walk onto a subway platform, I was curious to see if this product could do damage control in the way it claimed. Luckily, my Supernatural Spray arrived at my door right before a particularly steamy Fourth of July in New York City — what better time to put this product to the test?
“Dream Coat is the one product I use on 99.9 percent of my clients because there is just nothing else like it,” Chris Appleton, Color Wow Global Creative Director, tells PEOPLE. “Whether I’m prepping hair for a certain look and want to have the glossiest, shiniest foundation or I want a frizz fighter that I know will withstand even the craziest humidity, I’m reaching for Dream Coat every time.”
Benefits: Anti-frizz, anti-humidity, heat protection, smoothing | Ingredients: Anti-humidity complex, chamomilla extract, glycerin | Formula: Sulfate-free, paraben-free, cruelty-free, gluten-free, vegan | Fragrance: None | Size: 1.7, 6.7, and 16.9 ounces
You may not be able to tell what the purpose of this product is just by looking at the name, but that’s the point — it’s supposed to do it all. In addition to being an anti-frizz product, this spray earned top marks when we tested it against other hair glosses and heat protectants, too.
The lightweight formula is made with a frizz-reducing, humidity-blocking polymer technology that is activated with heat and a bit of tension — typically achieved with a hair dryer and round brush. Plus, it’s infused with chamomilla extract and glycerin for color revival, protection, and moisture.
According to the brand, the product is meant to coat each strand of hair with an undetectable water- and moisture-repellant “raincoat” to not only keep unwanted frizz at bay but also give your hair a glassy sheen. The spray also conveniently doubles as a heat protectant to keep your hair healthy while you dry and style. Its high-shine, moisture-wicking results are supposed to last for up to three to four hair washes, making this a product you only have to reach for once a week.

How We Tested
To properly test the Dream Coat, I tried the standard product on my naturally wavy hair and recruited PEOPLE associate editorial director Jen Maldonado to try the Color Wow Dream Coat for Curly Hair in the New York City humidity.
Which One Should You Use?
“Users with frizzy hair that’s wavy or straight should use the original Dream Coat, and users with super dry or curly/coily hair should use our Extra Strength Dream Coat. And if someone isn’t looking for the silky-smooth, glass finish but wants to keep their curls frizz-free, they should use Dream Coat Curly.” —Appleton
After shampooing and conditioning like normal, I towel-dried my hair until it was damp, and Jen gently squeezed her curls to remove excess moisture. We then divided our hair into sections and liberally sprayed each portion with the product.
I then worked a fine-toothed comb through my hair to disperse the product evenly. Once our hair was saturated, it was time to activate the formula. I dried my hair with the Dyson Airwrap round brush attachment, which combined the heat and tension needed to lock in the Dream Coat’s benefits.

On the other hand, the Dream Coat for Curly Hair requires no tension at all. Jen dried her hair with a diffuser on low heat like normal, which took about 30-40 minutes.
Pro Tip!
“The key is to spray it liberally on every section of your hair and then blow dry with tension. The result is insanely shiny, glass hair that lasts for days.” —Appleton
The Results
How did the spray feel on your damp hair?
Alyssa: It was easy to coat my hair in this spray, and it didn’t feel thick or goopy, though I could feel a slight residue on my skin where my damp, product-coated hair lay.
Jen: My hair felt like it was forming a cast once the product was in, which, as someone with curly hair, I’m used to.
Was it easy to dry and style your hair with this product?
Alyssa: It was super easy to blow dry my hair. My hair worked well with a straightener after drying, too — it didn’t stick to the plates or create any weird lines when I clamped down.
Jen: I blow-dried my hair with a diffuser as I normally would. I use low heat and my hair seems to never want to let go of any water, so it takes a while to get it dry enough for my liking.
How did your hair feel and look once it was dry?
Alyssa: My hair felt extremely smooth and soft to the touch.
Jen: When my hair was completely dried, it felt soft and not crunchy at all.
Was your hair protected from frizz and humidity?
Alyssa: I first tested this spray on a humid day. It kept my hair from getting too frizzy, but didn’t prevent all frizz.
Jen: The product didn’t do much to help with frizz,

Ciara Miller and Maura Higgins join ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Season 35

“Dancing With the Stars” has officially been renewed for a 35th season this fall, with two reality stars heading up the competition.
The series’ first two celebrity contestants are “Summer House” star Ciara Miller and “The Traitors” personality Maura Higgins, per an announcement at Wednesday’s Get Real event, according to Variety.
Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro will host, with Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli appearing as judges.
A full cast list — as well as pro dance partners for Miller and Higgins — have yet to be released.
Last season, Robert Irwin and his pro partner Witney Carson clinched the famed Mirrorball Trophy after triumphing over Alix Earle and pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy.
Miller made headlines this past month after her ex-boyfriend West Wilson and ex-BFF Amanda Batula — both “Summer House” co-stars — confirmed their secret romance via social media.
The spurned Bravo star, who was seen slumped outside a New York City Hermés boutique in the moments after the joint statement dropped, also appeared on “The Traitors” during Season 3.
The dance competition opens up a new sector of reality TV for Miller, who recently said she’s “thankful” for the genre that made her famous.
“I want to be clear: I’m always grateful and thankful for reality TV,” she told Glamour magazine in an interview published last week.
“I feel like I’ve met my greatest friends from reality TV. And it’s truly taught me so much about myself and who I am and what I can endure. It’s made me change in the best of ways. It’s given me the confidence that I have here today and some of the greatest moments of my life. I wouldn’t have been able to buy my grandparents’ house if it weren’t for reality TV, so I’m really thankful for it.”
Higgins, meanwhile, took second place on Season 4 of Peacock’s hit show after being betrayed by series pal Rob Rausch.
She’s also well-known for appearing in “Love Island: Season 5” and hosting “Love Island USA: Aftersun” and “Love Island Games: Aftersun.”
The Irish model brings a sense of confidence to “DWTS,” having once said of “The Traitors” that she was “1,000,000% convinced that I was winning the show.”
“I said to the camera, ‘Just give me my money. I’ve won.’ I was that sure,” she said in a February interview with Elite Daily, adding that despite her loss to Rausch, she’s “not a sore loser.”

from Joey King to Kaia Gerber

Jacob Elordi doesn’t have much in common with his volatile character in “Euphoria” — aside from his success with the ladies.
The actor rose to fame in 2018 and has dated his fair share of high-profile stars since.
From Zendaya to Olivia Jade Giannulli, keep scrolling to learn more about the hunky “Frankenstein” star’s love life.
Joey King: 2017- 2018
Elordi and co-star Joey King fell in love in 2017 while shooting Netflix’s “The Kissing Booth,” in which they played love interests.
In a 2018 interview with Bello, King admitted she thought Elordi was “very cute” when they first met and the pair became fast friends before exploring something romantic.
“It was such an interesting experience meeting your boyfriend on set because you spend so much time together and become so close so fast,” she explained. “We were spending 17 hours a day together, and all of us would hang out after work and watch movies together and stuff. It was great.”
Although the pair called it quits in 2018 after just one year of dating, they went on to film two more movies together and have had nothing but nice things to say about each other in the years since.
In a joint Entertainment Tonight interview in 2020, King explained that she doesn’t feel the need to give people an “explanation” as to why they split — which Eloridi dittoed.
The following month, the actress told Howard Stern, “I think it’s a good thing we dated. … I learned the most I’ve ever learned in my life from him. I think that it’s awesome to date someone in your field who gets it, but doing the same exact thing as somebody is tough. It’s really tough.”
Cari Flowers: 2019
A year after his split from King, Elordi was linked to model Cari Flowers.
The pair sparked romance rumors in the summer of 2019 after Flowers tagged the “Wuthering Heights” star in an Instagram photo, insinuating he was the one behind the camera.
Additionally, she posted a since-deleted photo dump of her “friends in Australia,” which included a shirtless photo of Elordi as well as a snap of the duo locking lips, per Elite Daily.
However, the model deleted any trace of Elordi from her feed less than a month later.
Zendaya: 2019- 2020
Elordi decided to mix business with pleasure once again in 2019 when he started dating “Euphoria” co-star Zendaya.
While neither star ever spoke out about their rumored romance, they were photographed vacationing together in Greece in August 2019.
That year, the “Dune” star reportedly traveled Down Under to spend Thanksgiving with Elordi and his family.
When the pair attended the American Australian Arts Awards in 2020, the actress called Elordi her “best friend.”
After the pair were photographed kissing while out and about in Manhattan, sources told E! News they had been “inseparable” for months.
“They … have been making time for each other in between projects,” an insider told the outlet. “Jacob has met Zendaya’s family and everyone adores him. They have a lot of fun together and have a lot in common.”
While it’s unclear exactly when the pair called it quits, they appear to still be on good terms and continued to work together on their hit HBO show.
Zendaya, notably, is engaged — and rumored to already be married — to her “Spider-Man” co-star Tom Holland.
Kaia Gerber: 2020- 2021
Elordi was first linked to model Kaia Gerber in September 2020 after the pair were seen holding hands in New York City, with the couple’s first public outing just so happening to fall on Zendaya’s birthday.
Despite speculation there was “nothing serious” going on between the two, Elordi joined Gerber and her family on vacation later that same month.
Soon after, they went Instagram official by showing off their couple’s Halloween costumes: Elvis and Priscilla Presley.
(Ironically, Gerber started dating “Elvis” actor Austin Butler in December 2021 and Elordi was later cast to play the King of Rock & Roll in “Priscilla.”)
Although they rarely spoke out about their romance, the pair were often seen out and about in public and even sharing clothes.
In May 2021, Gerber finally opened up about the pair’s sweet relationship.
“Being able to be with someone I trust, where we don’t want anything from each other, having a safe, steady relationship like that, has really opened my eyes to the possibilities of love and what it feels like to love without conditions,” Gerber told Vogue. “Lust is touching other people or wanting them, but love is really seeing someone.”
In September of that year, she and Elordi made their red carpet debut at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures Opening Gala.
Despite their deep connection, the pair called it quits in November 2021.
While a source confirmed to Page Six at the time that the twosome were no longer together, they insisted things were “amicable” between the exes.
In fact, during an interview with Men’s Health magazine published right after their split, Elordi praised Gerber for “handling herself wonderfully publicly” and teaching him “how to deal” with fame.
Olivia Jade Giannulli: 2021- 2025
Just one month after Elordi and Gerber split, the actor jumped into a relationship with Olivia Jade Giannulli.
The duo sparked dating speculation after photographers snapped them grabbing coffee together in Los Angeles before driving off in Elordi’s Range Rover.
However, sources told Us Weekly at the time that the romance was “casual.”
“They both got out of relationships recently so they’re not rushing into anything serious. So far it’s going well and there’s sparks between them.”
Although they decided to keep their romance out of the public eye, they were often spotted on walks with their dogs around Los Angeles.
The pair decided to go their separate ways in August 2022, only to rekindle their romance in May 2023.
At the time, the twosome was seen getting cozy while out and about in Los Angeles. Then, in June, they were spotted soaking up the sun in a resort town near Portofino, Italy.
The duo were hit with breakup reports once again in January 2024; however, sources told Page Six they were still going strong.
By October 2025, they were “fully over.”
Bianca Finch: March 2023
During Elordi’s time apart from Giannulli, the actor was romantically linked to model Bianca Finch.
The pair were seen canoodling at a park in LA. During the picnic, Elordi whipped out his camera to take photos of the red-headed beauty.
However, things between the two seemingly fizzled quickly.
Kendall Jenner: 2026
Reports surfaced in April 2026 that Elordi had been dating Kendall Jenner for months after allegedly being introduced by the model’s sister Kylie Jenner.
Kylie, notably, is in a relationship with Timothée Chalamet and was reportedly “around Jacob a lot during Timothée’s award season marathon because Jacob was nominated for ‘Frankenstein’ and Timothee was nominated for ‘Marty Supreme.’”
Kendall and Elordi initially sparked social media chatter over claims they were “making out” at Justin Bieber’s weekend one Coachella 2026 afterparty.
Reps for the couple did not respond to Page Six’s request for comment at the time.

Mike Vrabel dodges questions about Dianna Russini’s resignation

Mike Vrabel dodged multiple questions off-camera pertaining to the Dianna Russini photo scandal following his lengthy statement on the matter.
After his Tuesday speech during the pre-NFL draft press conference at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, one reporter asked the New England Patriots head coach if he has “any thoughts” about Russini’s resignation from her position at the Athletic in the wake of the scandal.
“I respect and I appreciate every single question, but I’m not going to be able to comment on anything as it relates to that. I appreciate your job and what you guys have got to do, but I have to make my comments and what I answer about our football team,” Vrabel responded, per 98.5 The Sports Hub.
Another reporter asked the former linebacker if he still stands by his initial statement to Page Six, in which he called any implication from the photos “laughable.”
“I think I’ve addressed what I felt like was important,” Vrabel said, according to the outlet.
When asked by a third reporter how he’d characterize his conversations with ownership about the scandal, Vrabel said “those will be in [confidence],” and once again tried to shift all inquiries to focus on his team.
Also during the questioning, Vrabel revealed that he had “had conversations and questions” from his players about the scandal and spoke about not letting it become a distraction as they gear up for the draft.
Tuesday’s press conference was the first time Vrabel spoke to reporters since Page Six obtained photos him and the NFL reporter holding hands and hugging at an Arizona resort on April 7.
In his address, the 50-year-old admitted to having “difficult conversations” with his family about the situation and called the talks “positive and productive” without elaborating further.
From there, he shifted focus to the draft, noting that he doesn’t want to “take [attention] away” from it.
“This is an important time for us. … [The players are] starting an amazing journey, one that should be celebrated as we welcome them onto our team.”
As for Russini, 43, she also tried to downplay the snaps at first, telling Page Six, “The photos don’t represent the group of six people who were hanging out during the day. Like most journalists in the NFL, reporters interact with sources away from stadiums and other venues.”
But three eyewitnesses told Page Six they did not see anyone else with the duo, who are both married and share children with other people.
Three days later, news broke that the Athletic had sidelined Russini and launched an investigation into the matter.
On April 14, she resigned from her job, with many people — including Dave Portnoy — claiming that she wouldn’t have done so unless she was “guilty” of something.
