Barry Williams on His Dad’s ‘Jealousy’ That He Out-Earned Him as a Teen Actor

Barry Williams found success as a child and teen actor — but it did come with a price.
On the April 15 episode of The Real Brady Bros podcast, Williams and his co-host Christopher Knight were joined by their Brady Bunch costars Susan Olsen and Mike Lookinland. Williams, 70, played eldest sibling Greg Brady. Knight, 67, played Peter, while Olsen, 63, and Lookinland, 64, played the youngest Bradys, Cindy and Bobby.
During the episode, the four on-screen siblings reminisced about how they joined The Brady Bunch and how they got started as young actors.

Williams said that when he auditioned for The Brady Bunch, “I’d been working for a while.” He remembered appearing on TV shows like Gomer Pyle, That Girl and The Mod Squad. Getting asked to do The Brady Bunch, he said, “was like manna from heaven.”
“I just thought, ‘Oh my gosh. This is gonna be a series,’ ” he remembered. He was particularly excited to play the oldest sibling since in real life, he was the youngest of three boys. The fact that “it was going to be a series, so I probably wouldn’t have to audition as much” was part of why he was “very, very excited,” he added.
However, his newfound success from The Brady Bunch, which ran from 1969 to 1974, led to some difficulties with his dad, Frank Blenkhorn. “He never was, at any point, exactly approving of the fact that I was in show business,” he explained. “As the show became more successful, I think he was more disenchanted. And I think there was a point where I may have had more opportunities, or there was a year or two where I was literally making more money than he was.” Williams said that only happened when his dad’s business would have a “down period” once in a while.
“He was very sharp with me about ego, about, you know, about making sure that I wasn’t getting too big for my britches, which probably was deserved,” Williams continued. “But I sensed a bit of jealousy.” His dad, he thought, felt frustrated that “a kid” didn’t have to go through “25 years” of work and instead had success “handed to him.”
Williams said he also thought his success took “a toll on his brothers” as his family’s life began to revolve around him and what he needed. “There was some resentment,” he said.

Knight said that in some ways, he could relate. His mother, Wilma, “was absolutely vociferously opposed to whatever the show was standing for, which was a challenge.” He explained that in retrospect, as an adult, it caused his mother “internal grief” that her real family couldn’t live up to the Bradys.

Meanwhile, his father, Edward, had been a Shakespearean actor and felt The Brady Bunch was not “high art.” His dad didn’t do any TV at all, he said, because he felt, “It was beneath actors that did stage.”

Oprah Winfrey’s Polished White Tee Looks Like These Amazon Tops

After helping blow up the internet as part of a certain celebrity-filled wedding ceremony, Oprah Winfrey found another way to get our attention before leaving Venice.
The media mogul was seen chatting with Gayle King and Kris Jenner on her way to the airport, wearing an all-white outfit that’s sleek and super easy to recreate for less. Oprah wore a fitted, ribbed-knit T-shirt tucked into high-waisted cargo pants. She’s been leading a personal revival of those Y2K-style bottoms lately, wearing cargos multiple times this summer.
But it’s her top we’re interested in this time, since we found similar ones at Amazon for as little as $9.

A white crewneck T-shirt is about as basic as wardrobe staples get, but the ribbed knit and slim fit of this one polishes up the look. This tee looks very similar to the one Oprah wore while bidding Venice a fond “ciao, bella.” It’s got a sleek bodysuit look when tucked in, with office-appropriate sleeves designed to go halfway down the arm. Amazon shoppers love its versatility and “high-end look.”

Justin Baldoni spotted at Disneyland amid Blake Lively legal battle

Justin Baldoni paid a visit to The Happiest Place on Earth — despite the recent devastating blow in his legal battle with Blake Lively.
Fans spotted the actor at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, Calif., over the weekend, just weeks after a judge threw out his $400 million lawsuit against his “It Ends Us With Us” co-star.
Baldoni, 41, seemed to be in high spirits as he smiled and waved to other guests at the theme park. Many took out their phones to record him and shared the footage on various social media accounts.
One fan called the director “such a sweet guy” in her TikTok video, which showed Baldoni stopping to take selfies with her and her friends.
In a second video, the actor appeared to be having a light-hearted encounter with a pal in the park as the two joked and laughed.
The outing comes just weeks after Baldoni’s legal team announced they would not be moving forward with amending the lawsuit against Lively after Judge Lewis J. Liman shockingly threw out the actor’s countersuit.
“The Court’s decision on the motion to dismiss has no effect whatsoever on the truth that there was no harassment nor any smear campaign, and it does not in any way affect our vigorous defense against Ms. Lively’s claims,” Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, told Page Six at the time, noting that they would now be focusing on the actor’s defense.
A spokesperson for Lively also released a statement to Page Six, stating, “The Court dismissed the frivolous $400 million Baldoni-Wayfarer lawsuit in its entirety.”
“In the days that followed, Baldoni’s lawyer said the judge’s decision to dismiss their case was not a big deal as they promised to amend and refile it,” the statement continued. “As per usual, that was not true. The Court’s dismissal of Baldoni’s sham lawsuit was a total victory after all.”
Rumblings of a feud between Baldoni and Lively, 37, began in August 2024 when fans noticed that the two seemed to do all of their press for “It Ends With Us” separately.
Multiple sources told Page Six at the time that the two did not get along on set.
One insider claimed that Baldoni — who both starred in and directed the film based on author Colleen Hoover’s book of the same name — created an “extremely difficult” atmosphere on set. Others alleged that “none of the cast enjoyed working” with the “Jane the Virgin” alum.
Just a few weeks later, the “Gossip Girl” alum filed a formal lawsuit against Baldoni in New York federal court over lost wages, emotional distress and more.
Lively claimed in her lawsuit that Baldoni sexually harassed her on the set of their movie. She also claimed that he hired a crisis management team to destroy her reputation after a meeting was held to address his allegedly concerning behavior.
“It is shameful that Ms. Lively and her representatives would make such serious and categorically false accusations,” Baldoni and his attorney told Page Six in response to the allegations. “These claims are completely false, outrageous and intentionally salacious with an intent to publicly hurt and rehash a narrative in the media.”
Baldoni filed a countersuit in January, in which he claimed Lively tried to assert creative control in several aspects of the film, including the script and wardrobe. He also claimed she used her friendship with Taylor Swift to manipulate him.
In May, Swift, 35, was subpoenaed as a witness in the trial, though the request was later dropped.
Prior to his countersuit against Lively, Baldoni had filed a $250 million libel lawsuit against the New York Times in December 2024 claiming their story — titled “‘We Can Bury Anyone’: Inside a Hollywood Smear Machine” — relied almost entirely on Lively’s unverified and self-serving narrative, lifting it nearly verbatim while disregarding an abundance of evidence that contradicted her claims and exposed her true motives.”
Both lawsuits against Lively and the publication were dismissed by a judge earlier this month.
Baldoni and Lively have vehemently denied the allegations against each other. A trial is set for March 9, 2026.

Ellen Pompeo Shares Her Favorite Beauty Products and Treatments (Exclusive)

Have you noticed Ellen Pompeo‘s glow?
It’s hard to miss whether you’re watching her on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, which just wrapped season 21 in May, or in the recent Hulu mini series Good American Family.
Her radiance was also on full display when the actress attended a Walk of Fame ceremony in her honor in April. It was then we had to know the secrets of our favorite TV doctor’s beauty routine.
Luckily she answered the call.
The Meaningful Beauty ambassador since 2019 says it was her “chemistry” with Cindy Crawford that led her to a partnership with the brand.
“I am old enough to know that Cindy was one of the first women to have a beauty brand. I don’t know of any other women in her position that were doing beauty brands back then when it wasn’t cool or popular,” Pompeo recalls. “I’m sure she got more than a few eye rolls.”
Pompeo, who fought to become one of highest-paid dramatic actresses on television, knows a thing or two about forging an uncharted path, has the utmost respect for her friend, who just celebrated Meaningful Beauty’s 20th year.
Today, she owes some of her glow to Crawford.

“I love the serum. That’s my hero product from the line, and, I think that’s their best product,” she says of the Youth Activating Melon Serum, which improves hydration and elasticity utilizing melon leaf stem cell and Hydrosome H2O technologies. (The latter helps the former penetrate deeper to firm and plump skin.)
Pompeo’s also a big fan of the brand’s eye patches, especially when she travels. “I can totally wear them on a plane and just go to sleep,” she says of the Revive and Brighten Eye Masques.
While Pompeo didn’t always prioritize spf (“I had plenty of sunburns as a kid,” she admits) the product is high-priority now, and she completes her routine with the brand’s Anti-Aging Day Crème Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen.
Of course, her wellness regimen also plays a huge role in how Pompeo, 55, looks and feels. “I think diet and exercise is honestly the key. I know everybody says it, but I really do,” she says. “I’m a pretty regimented person. Very disciplined. My husband [Chris Ivery] says I’m the most disciplined person he knows which I think is a compliment.”
For one, her diet is “super-clean,” she says. “I’m really quite militant about the way I eat and what I eat,” she says. Her one weakness is sweets, which, “is kind of a problem,” she adds. “But I really try to manage it. I really just try to eat dark chocolate and cherries.”
The actress also has to move “all day long,” which sometimes means getting creative during a long day at work. “I’ll ride my bike from my trailer to the set,” she explains.
Pompeo also tries to get in a few minutes in a sauna as well as a cold plunge “pretty much every day that I can,” she adds. “Even when I travel, I try to look for hotels that have a sauna and a pool. If they don’t have a cold plunge, put a little bit of ice water on your face! I think it really tightens up my face, and the endorphin rush also makes me feel great.”
For Pompeo, a balanced wellness routine helps keep her mind clear. She’s also very honest when it comes to her outlook on aging.
“Obviously getting older is a privilege, but I definitely make my living on TV with my face. So, I think you can lean into the aging, if you want, or you can fight it. And I think I’m just trying to keep it at bay, you know?”
She continues, “I definitely am not going to say I’m keeping it 100% natural, that’s for sure. I definitely have vanity. It’s definitely not easy to watch yourself age.”
For the TV star, that means she boosts her routine with a minimally-invasive beauty procedure every now and then with peels, Morpheus8 treatments and “a little bit of Botox.”
One thing that she’s not into is filler. “I don’t like it at all. I’m not really into it,” she says.
And while she has a teen, Stella Luna, and a pre-teen, Sienna May, at home on the verge of entering their Sephora Kid era [She and Ivery also share son Eli Christopher], Pompeo says they don’t have any influence on her beauty routine.
On the contrary, it’s still Pompeo who’s doing the influencing, telling them they don’t need multi-step routines, and more.

When it comes to when the TV veteran feels most beautiful, she’s clear: Probably after [makeup artist] Hung Vanngo beats my face.
“I have an incredible privilege of having the best hair and makeup people. So after they’re finished, you’re like, ‘Okay!’”
“It’s like a fun part of the job, for sure. Again, it’s not easy to get older, but Hung is definitely amazing. I love when he does my makeup.”
