Selma Blair celebrates being in remission after MS diagnosis

Selma Blair is feeling optimistic.
The “Legally Blonde” actress revealed she’s “truly in remission” from multiple sclerosis while attending The Daily Front Row’s 9th Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards on Thursday.
“I am doing amazingly well,” the “Cruel Intentions” star told People at the event.
“I’ve been feeling great for about a year,” she added. “But I am finally well enough to really, genuinely … I always try and feel my best, but now that I actually have stamina and energy and getting out and going out isn’t so scary.”
The mom of one, 55, had been living with the autoimmune disease of the central nervous system for seven years. She said she’s now ready to focus on what lies ahead.
“It’s funny, I haven’t spent enough time having dreams,” she told the outlet. “And now it’s like, what are my dreams?”
“You’re just tired all the time,” she confessed of living with MS. “I spent so much of my life so tired from being unwell that I think I just was trying to get through the day.”
“It’s like, wait, I realize I don’t know what my goals are.”
The actress feels “much more career-oriented” now and said she “would love” to return to acting. In fact, she already has some movies in the works.
Additionally, the “Hellboy” star said she’s still “advocating for people with chronic illness and getting better, and what that looks like when you haven’t made your wishes.”
“How do we give ourselves a new life force?” she said.
For Blair, that new life force means more writing — she previously authored a memoir called “Mean Baby: A Memoir of Growing Up.” Now, she’d like to write a young adult book, citing for inspiration Frances Hodgson Burnett’s beloved “The Secret Garden.”
In June 2024, Blair poignantly told Page Six how her service dog, Scout, helped her remember to take her MS medication.
“He gives me a little nibble on my nose because I can get a little spastic. He reminds me,” she said at Chanel’s Tribeca Festival Women’s Luncheon. “I get really distracted so I need him.”
She also said she was doing “well” following a bone marrow transplant several years earlier.
“It took a long time to recover but now I’m finally walking really well,” she told Page Six. “I’m wearing heels without a cane.”
Blair first disclosed her diagnosis in an emotional social media post in October 2018.
“I am disabled,” she wrote at the time. “I drop things. My memory is foggy. And my left side is asking for directions from a broken gps.”

The royal red carpet has been rolled out for a new wax figure at Madame Tussauds London!
On Wednesday, May 21, the museum unveiled their new statue of Kate Middleton after the wax figure underwent a makeover.
This comes after the Princess of Wales, 43, first made her Madame Tussauds debut in April 2012, a year after her wedding to Prince William.
“Fast forward to today, hot off the heels of their 14th wedding anniversary, the talented studio artists have refreshed the Kate Middleton figure from tiara to toe,” a news release obtained by PEOPLE reads.
In photos shared by the museum, princess Kate’s wax figure can been sporting a sparkly pink gown and tiara, reflecting the outfit she wore at the annual Diplomatic Reception at Buckingham Palace in December 2023.

“The figure is dressed in a dusky pink Jenny Packham gown, silver pumps in the style of Gianvito Rossi ‘Rania 105′ and finished off with an exact replica of the signature Lover’s Knot Tiara,” the release continued. “The tiara itself is from the Madame Tussauds London archives, and was worn by the figure of Princess Diana in the 1980s.”
The royal headpiece is the one Kate has worn the most during her royal life and was also a favorite of her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, who wore it on multiple occasions. According to the Court Jeweller, the special tiara is more than 100 years old and was originally commissioned from the jeweler Garrard by Queen Mary in either 1913 or 1914.
The wax figure’s look was completed with a Royal Victorian Order blue sash as well as “the Royal Family Order of QEII and replica Greville Diamond Chandelier earrings.”

‘Love Island USA’ host Ariana Madix reveals which cosmetic treatments she gets

“Love Island USA” host Ariana Madix is coming clean about her cosmetic treatments.
“I just did my first laser treatment. I’ve been very interested in that for a long time. I keep things at a minimum,” Madix tells Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” hosts Evan Real and Danny Murphy in an exclusive interview.
She goes to reveal that she does get Botox “every six months or so.”
“I just got a little bit in my lips because they were getting a little crusty on the inside. I never go more than 0.5 at a time,” she adds. “Because I never want to look crazy.”
Madix, 39, explains that she started getting laser treatments to address skin laxity.
“Fine lines, I don’t give a s–t about, but skin laxity is something I’ve been dealing with,” she says.
Due to that, the “Vanderpump Rules” alum says she was told by professionals that she’s “not even a candidate” for facial fillers because she doesn’t “have the structure to support it.”
“That’s why we started on the lasers,” she elaborates. “So I will report back after I’ve had all the things.”
In addition to her cosmetic treatments, the former Bravolebrity reveals that she drinks “insane amounts of water, like 100 ounces a day” and “constantly” goes to the gym.
Madix acknowledges there is “a lot of pressure” when it comes to aging but tries to keep everything in perspective.
“I feel like you don’t want to be preoccupied with it too much,” she says. “But at the same time, if you feel good about doing something, go ahead and do it. At the end of the day, it’s nobody’s business.”
“I know in the industry, I am in a position where that stuff does matter, but I also know … I’m going to get older no matter what. … If you don’t age, you just die. I’d rather be aged than dead,” Madix adds.
Of course, this isn’t the first time the reality star has detailed her cosmetic enhancements.
While she isn’t doing facial fillers anymore, she confessing to getting filler in her chin and lip last July after a fan speculated she had a plethora of work done.
“i’ll tell you what i’ve had! you’re partially correct,” Madix commented in response at the time.
“tox in 11’s, outer brow, and my neck. ellevate for my neck in 2019 by @theneckdoctor. minimal lip filler bc my face is too small to handle very much and filler in my chin.”
“absolutely no filler anywhere else and def no bleph yet ❤️❤️,” she added. “hope this helps! i’ll keep yall posted if i do anything else.”
